So as I ordered paper for our wedding invites 3 weeks ago.  It was the only color paper in the city that I found that would work.  It was supposed to come in a week ago but didn't, and when I called to inquire I got an unhelpful "If we haven't called you, that means it's not in yet".  So I called again today, asked to speak to the manager and low and behold, it's here!  Gee someone must have forgotten to call !  So we truck down there tonight at 8:30 pm to pick up our stuff.  The lady brings out the paper.  Wrong.  F'ing.  Color.


So. Pissed.


She then checks all the codes and swears up and down they are the same in the system, so we can't reorder because the same thing will just happen again.  There's nothing else she can do.  But she does give us the number for the 'Special Orders' department, but with f-ed up numbers there's not much anyone can do.


Did I mention that I'm pissed?  And that this is going to set us back probably another 2-3 weeks?  And the invites are supposed to be in the mail in 6 weeks? 


Really, really pissed.


Can nobody do anything right?!?  BAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

ew.  that really sucks.  i'm sorry.  but don't get terribly stressed out over it.  i don't want you to combust.  if you have time today try to find choice #2.  wonder if you could get the envelopes and start on addressing those while waiting on the paper?  do you have a calligrapher or are you DIY?  just to save some time?  i'm reaching here.

The envelopes are on their way to me right now - should be here early next week - by my printer is printing our return address on the back flap, and has to do so before I write the address on the front (smudging, mistakes, etc). 


There was another paper there when we went to pick up our order last night that could technically, possibly work.  It's brighter than what we were going for though unfortunately, and there wasn't enough in the store to complete the whole job which means we'd have to place a special order and we all know how that went the first time around.


Well, maybe I'll give it a shot with the ordering - since I'll demand they ship it as quickly as possible on their dime this time!

*UPDATE*


When I called the printer to cancel because I didn't have paper, she convinced me to come anyway and look through her paper samples.  I found something I like even better, and it was cheaper to boot.  I'm sending her the confirmed text this week so she can send me the proofs, and she'll start printing when the paper arrives next week.  So they should be ready to pick up and assemble in 3 weeks. 


And the envelopes came today and they're perfect! 


And my veil came today and it's perfect! 


Order has been restored!

YAY! no reason to be bridezilla anymore! I just think it's funny people always call mad brides that - when stuff like this happens you are within your right to be a bridezilla!

So glad everything is back on track. When is the big day again?
