Everytime I email some BRIGHT (say yellow, orange) shoes to some girlfriends here at work, they (to me) turn their noses up to them! LOL They play it safe, w/the usual black, brown, navy shoes, but I LOVE taking chances, esp. when it comes to shoes, I think I have every color in the rainbow! LOL What about you?

LOVE colored shoes. And patterened shoes. I have leopard print shoes, shoes with multicolored embroidery, teal suede, green suede, red suede...you get the point.
If I still worked in an office, and knew my choice of shoes didn't affect any potential ladder climbing, I wouldn't really care if coworkers turned up their noses. Life's to short to not wear what you enjoy.

I used to only buy shoes in the standard colors but I find myself wearing my colored shoes more often than the boring ones. I wear my pink BC moc wedges all the time and my metallic shoes always get a ton of wear. I just added a pair of leopard shoes and I think they will be very versatile. I need more shoes, though!

I love colored and patterned shoes. I need to have basics too for really conservative occasions, but when I think about my favorite shoes, the basics are pretty much on the bottom of the list. I think of my shoes kind of like art, so it doesn't matter what they are as long as they're beautiful (and somewhat functional).
I lvoe colored shoes and print shoes too - I think shoes should be an accent. And I just HATE that attitude of "black goes with everything...." it does NOT. The look around here are black or dark brown shoe boots and too-short light khaki pants. Godawful.

I used to think that black shoes are the most versatile... That's why pretty much all my older shoes are black. I've since come to realize that you can wear shoes in any color you want and now I just feel like throwing away all the boring black ones. I don't think I'll ever buy black shoes again...
I get the most use out of cute shoes that have interesting/subtle detailing. I would never consider basic black pumps as my most versatile shoes. I do tend to like neutrals though- really soft caramels, browns, sometimes black, cream cracked heels, silver, and red for a color. I know certain "colored" shoes I wouldn't really wear, but I do strongly prefer vintagey cool shoes to standard shoes that are supposed to go with everything.
I like how you said that! Some lady made a 'comment' on my fuchsia pink shoes I have on today, and even looked at them funny, saying, yeah, they are pink. And I'm like, well I like them, and walked away.
