Did anybody watch last night? I love the home visits. What does everyone think of the collections so far?
I would have been so pissed to have been sprung an extra piece to make for the runway show. They just have so many other things to worry about!! Ughhh...
Dan was very sensitive over Tim Gunn's reaction to his collection. He couldn't quite let it go It was all he kept talking about last night.
I saw it, I saw it, while flipping between that and four other channels! I know, I was just shocked at how Daniel was not happy that Tim didn't comment on his collection. And Heidi was wrong for making them make another outfit, but I'm sure they'll pull it off. I 'almost' really like Santino and Chloe's collections, but that's me. I'm glad Santino toned it down (some). LOL

Daniel has a lot of work left to do, he is lucky that Nick is helping him. I feel bad for Andrae since Santino had no idea what he was going to do, and poor Andrae just kept making suggestions and getting shot down. From what I have seen, I am not overly stoked on any of the pieces, but then they didn't show that much. It seems like the judges really let em have it next week though. I am still sad that Project Jay was turned into a special instead of a show...

wow, i didn't know this? do you think that bravo/heidi are pissed that he didn't do it the bravo way by taking the money and the banana internship? also, do you think they're mad that he made heidi look mean by not choosing his dress.....those are my thoughts.
did anyone get the feeling that they are bracing us for Santino's win? first of all, they made him seem much more likable during the home visit with tim (my bf was making some inappropriate comments as they were sitting watching the sunset together...). also, the home visit how he was shown profusely thanking his friends, and then how tim concentrated on what a tough childhood he had, how he hated his looks, he was teased, etc...i think it will be santino.
i think that Tim wants daniel to win, but he was disappointed in his collection. i've noticed this whole season how they kinda give away the endings based on the footage. booo. i don't have high hopes for daniel because of this. i'm sad. while i thought some of his clothes appeared boring, i didn't think his purses were that bad. in fact, i really liked it. he should sell them (i'd be interested).
chloe i feel like has just given up. she's really talented and just whips things up, but i feel like this has sucked the life out of her and she just wanted to get it done. i think her collection isn't a fluid or as detailed oriented as Santino's. also, i think she's used to designing based on a client's particular needs, rather than coming up with a collection.
so my thoughts based on what i've seen is that santino will win, and they will all be disappointed in daniel.

i was thinking that maybe tim gunn was downplaying daniel so as not to make it obvious if he wins.. I mean, he won the majority of the challenges so is obv. a judge favorite... although maybe they were trying to make us like santino in case he wins too..
I was so happy when Chloe chose Diana! I love Diana, even if she does have weirdness about her. I think she should just leave her design up to Diana and see what happens. Hee!

Yah I really don't know. Maybe it is a combination of things. The production on the special was not that great, so they seemed to have given up on Jay. Maybe Heidi didn't want to look bad, but the damage was done, I wonder if she did something else she didn't want the viewers to know?? Maybe there just was not that much interesting footage??
Did anyone notice Karas face when they were choosing who would help them with their additional piece? She looked so sad, she seemed to know that she would not be chosen, but desperately wanted to be. I felt bad for her. But, clearly she would not of been the best choice. I thought Chloes background was pretty amazing- Eight sisters and her Mom and dad escaping from Laos, living in a refugee camp, and coming to America safetly together. That was amazing! Santinos "story" shows you alot about why he is the way he is. He seems to have acquired that " I will hurt you before you hurt me mentality." You see this in people with huge insecurities... he grew up being akward ( tall, lanky, big ears, and really goofy- but I think he is really striking- looking now- not conventionally handsome- but has a real physical presence that makes him stand out, in a good way, from everyone else.) His behavoir has been awful, sometimes damn right cruel! Their is never an excuse good enough for this meanness, but I do understand where it is coming from, and hope , like he says in the footage, that he has learned to not talk about people in such a way that he hurts them. I think, as a designer, that he has the elements to be the most successful of all three in the future: He has both meticulously prepared for his collection, even his sketches were beautiful! He has evolved more stylisticly through what he has gone thru on Project Runway. His completed collection looks elegant, refined, marketable- but still retains that edginess and drama that he represents. He also has a real strength to his character that I dont see in either Chloe , or Daniel. I mean the ability, even though he is insecure, to isolate himself from criticism- to take what is valuable to him and leave what is not. Chloe does not really want it, and what comes with it. She says she does, but I think that when it is all said and done she will be very satisfied in just making the final three and going back to her life as it was before. Daniel is to concerned with the accolades of it all, how others recieve it, and is crushed if he doesnt get the reaction he expects. I do think he is very talented, in some ways more so than Santino, but I think he has many years to go to be able to even start on his way to being successful as an artist.
don't you think santino looks like the villans from superman ii?????
i really felt like daniel was acting kinda annoying... he had this arrogance about him that he definitely didn't show during the regular show. i liked seeing santino at home, vulnerable santino. i also liked chloe's family history... i cannot imagine having 7 sisters!!!
Out of what I could see of the collections, Santino's looked the most hopefull. Chloe, what is up with that 80's pink poofy prom top? Before even Tim said it, when I saw Daniel's purse, all I could say was that it looked like some kid had fun in shop class! I did not like that wood handle at all. There was more handle than purse, and it looked unfinished. He should have softened the edges and maybe put a finish on it. Some of his things like the jacket looked very nice but they are all missing that something which makes it special and stand out.
As for Jay, I could see why they didn't turn it into a show. There is only so much show to do if he isn't getting anywhere. I hope he doesn't come to regret not taking the shows money, but he should have taken it so he could at least get his foot in the door!
courtney thanks for bringing up that purseeeeeeeeee! omg i forgot about that horrible thing. okay they always talk about santino not thinking about what a woman wants.. but who would want those wood handles?! it was really weird... and not in the good interesting way.

Only catch Project Runway once in a while but just realized Chloe is somewhat well know around here in Houston. She has a fabulous store out here that's always featured in Lucky so I guess she's very successful in her own way with or without winning Proj Runway.

Tim Gunn, Tim Gunn if calls your name your done! *done in the voice of our beloved Santino
I was a little "underwhelmed" w/ Dan's collection too. Liked Santino's but the fur stuff reminded me a lot of Kara Saun.
