I would go with a nano, depending on how much music you have and what you had before. (mini, regular, etc.)

I have a sick feeling mine may die soon (I have a mini) and I plan on replacing it with a nano.

I wouldn't get the Shuffle unless you are ok w/your music constantly being on shuffle. How many songs did your other one hold?

I love my Nano to death! I have the 2GB, but would rather have the 4. It is so small and cute and not as fragile as it looks. I would not get the shuffle for the same reason Shopchicago33 mentioned.

i would get the nano. but one question, didn't you just get your ipod? i feel like it's too early for it to have completely died. if it's a battery issue and you're within 1 year, you can send it back to them to fix and it will only cost $30 for s &h.

It's not new I got it for Christmas last year, it went wonka a few months ago and I nearly repaled it then but then it was ok and now it's just completely dead.

Hey! You probably already went out and got the Nano. I have the shuffle and wanted to post just for the benefit of this forum. If you have a shuffle, you do not need to always play the songs in "shuffled" order. It also just plays them in the order you put them on there in itunes. However, I would still choose the Nano over the shuffle for a different reason. Although I am satisfied with the amount of storage on the shuffle and it is nice and light, it is annoying that there is no lcd display. Sometimes I forget what order albums are in and it's hard to tell where you are in your playlist when skipping ahead or forward.
