We went to Grenada (before Hurricane Ivan) and stayed at a great little resort called the Calabash Hotel. It was fabulous! Thankfully, the hotel wasn't damaged very much by the hurricane and the owner allowed all of the staff who lost their homes to move into the hotel while they rebuilt.
Since i had just started work, we split it up...a week at a lovely spa in Santa Barbara (and the great wine country) - I highly recommend the Bacara.
We're going to Rome for a week this May for the "second half"
I actually really liked doing a honeymoon without a lot of travel (we live in LA), because you really get to unwindand the return to "real life" is much easier!

don't feel too bad! we have been married 4 years and didn't go on a honeymoon. hub couldn't get time off from work. actually, i think he went to work the day after we were married.
