So I started this thread because I feel Jay deserves his own, and he is just plain awesome. He is so down to earth and funny, I felt so sorry for him about the whole Heidi thing, he didn't even want to do the dress in the first place because it's not his style! Poor guy broke down on camera. I think its pretty cool that he still talks to the other contestants like Austin, Nora, and Kara. What was up with Wendy at Austin's show??? She is more fake than ever, fame ruined her marriage?? Anyways I didn't get the part about why Jay didn't take the money he won from the show??
Hey Rocky - yeah - it was definitely fun to watch Jay after the show. On this Season's Project Runway(when he was a judge) - he came off as if the fame had went to his head. But after seeing this, he is still Jay.
I felt soooo bad for him when Heidi decided to not take his dress. Ughh...that has got to be heartbreaking and just such a huge feeling of rejection. When he saw Wendy Pepper, you could see that it was a bit akward between them. I'm not totally sure why Jay didn't take the money - b/c it seems crazy why he wouldn't, considering how much he was saying he was broke.
Anyways I didn't get the part about why Jay didn't take the money he won from the show??
i'm guessing there was something in the contract about the money and licensing. if you remember, he had a licensing agent and mentioned the reason he didn't take the $$$ is b/c he was trying to get his own licensing deal.
I LOVE JAY! I loved the show. I will be watching every week! However, I did not ever notice him showing at fashion week this week...did he? anyone have any links or pics?
I heard he postponed showing his collection until September. I don't know why, though. I love Jay. I didn't realize this would be a weekly show. He is so down-to-earth and so reminds me of friends of mine. I loved how he reacted when Wendy told him her marriage ended because of the fame. He is so hilarious.
I only saw the first half of this show. Jay would be a cool friend to have. I think he should have taken the money from the show, seems like there may have been some greed there trying to get a better deal. Remember that one contestant who quit American Idol? I think he thought he was such a star that he would have won the show but instead wanted to quit and get a bigger contract. Never heard of him since.
