I'm a shoe girl. I make lazy shoe choices on a regular basis (Uggs and Havaianas), but I have a wonderful, growing shoe collection.
I'm with Lilykind... I'd love to be a bag girl, but I don't yet have the means to. I long to have a closet full of LV, Balenciaga, Chloe, Hermes, Gucci, Chanel... my bag taste is expensive, as well, so I find it hard to settle for anything less. Thus, I don't buy bags often. I usually am anti-knockoff, like Lilykind, but I think I may make an exception for the Lush version of a Balenciaga (unless someone can talk me out of it )
Ummmm....both? I think I really do love them both.
However, I think given the chance and the money, I'd probably be more willing to drop major money on a bag rather than a pair of shoes. I just think bags end up having less wear and tear on them in the long run than shoes.
But I think right now I have what I need as far as bags go, so I don't think I need to buy any more for awhile. I think this year will be more focused on shoes.
hmm, depends. In my fantasy world, i'd buy shoes at a 3 to 1 ratio compared to bags, and they'd all be nice. I don't change bags often enough to have a huge collection- if i just had a few more than I have now, i could in theory be set for life and only get another one every year or so. but living in the city, i can't appreciate shoes as much as i'd like to. They have to be comfy, flat, and durable- rare for the average cute pair of shoes. So right now i'm more into bags. at heart, i'm probably more of a shoe girl.
SHOES!! I LOVE shoes, also because it's hard to find shoes that fit me comfortably, so when I do, I just it, because it fits! Bags are cheap, and I'm always in a hurry so even though I have alot (of cheap ones), I typically stick to the ONE I like (which for many months has been a blue floral lesportsac hobo), unless it's a special occasion.
I am also a shoe person, and a new convert at that. I think I have learned to appreciate shoes just in the last year, since participating in threadstyle. Before this, shoes were the last thing in mind when I planned a wardrobe- an afterthought- and purses were mainly ones that my mom handed me down. My mother has a shoe fetish. I would say she has 50-100 pairs. They are all expensive, investment type shoes- she says she likes shoes because shoes always fit, I would have to agree. My budget does not allow shoes above 100.00- but I do admire the ones that are much higher and appreciate the unique construction, lines, and quality of the materials. And purses, I am real particular- usually only liking ones that are of high quality- so I just dont buy them, because again, my budget just doesnt go there. I have a few midrange ones that have been given to me and I use them over and over.
Bags. I get way more wear out of my bags than my shoes. I can't help but picking up a new one every month or so. I'm getting more into shoes but I definitely still a bag girl.

definitely SHOES. although, since joining this forum i have learned so much about nicer bags and im considering going with the one nice one a season idea. you girls are such enablers.
i am - undeniably - a shoe girl. they were my first fashion love and even sometimes when i'm feeling too schleppy to dress myself nice, i can add a great pair of shoes and they make me feel 10 times better.
I'd say a bag girl. I'd rather spend more money for a handbag than shoes anyday. Bags are closer to eye level, so people will see it more and they hold important stuff! I don't even spend a lot of money on bags, Coach is about as luxe as I get. Also, you can get away with more fun colors and prints on bags than you can with shoes (at least where I live!)
