I have a theory that you are either a "shoe girl" or a "bag girl." Now, one can love shoes and bags but generally, you really do love one more than the other. So, which one are you?
I'll go first. I am a bag girl. Shoes to me are almost a waste. They touch dirt and mud and icky ground all day. I'd be too scared to spend a lot of money on something that could easily get into doggie poo or chewed gum. And for some reason, I never notice a persons shoes. I LOVE my bags though. They're easy to take care of, a bag can make an outfit, bags always fit, and people seem to notice a great bag. Man, this makes me want a new one!
I'm definitely a shoe girl! I just can't resist them! But lately I find myself not wanting to invest in shoes because of the fact they can get easily ruined.

I'm a shoe girl, mostly because I can't afford to be a bag girl.
The problem with me and bags is that my bag taste is VERY expensive and very much heirloom/classic. I have a hard time buying a bag that's cheap (meaning cheaer than Coach) and I am personally anti-knockoff/inspired by bags for myself. I definitely don't have the funds to invest in a collection of Hermes, Chanel, Celine, YSL, and LV bags though I assure you I would have a kick-ass purse collection if I did have said funds.
definitely shoes, even though i tend to stick to wearing the same old comfy flats and sneaks.
but bags...i love fun, colorful bags, but don't think i've ever spent more than $30 on one, ever. at some point, i'd like a really classic leather tote for work and looking grown up...there's just always something else i'd rather spend $$$ on!
I'm the exact same way as kate about bags. I change my purse probably every other week & if I had a very high $$ bag I just think I'd feel guilty not using it all the time. I used to not get the expensive bag thing - now I get it & would like to have something classic one day, but I'm gonna need way more money to not feel guilty about it. Like after I have a house & a new car....

I think I am both, but I would say I am probably more of a shoe girl because there are more cheaper cute shoes than cheaper cute handbags. However, I have tons of handbags. I would love to be a handbag girl, but I guess I feel like they need to be nice handbags where as cute shoes come in all price ranges. Weird I know.

Definitely shoes (I'm sure this comes as no surprise). I have issues with bags - I won't spend in the high-dollar range for a handbag, and I am weird about bags too. They have to be just the "right" shape or size, which I can never, ever seem to find. I'm kind of like Goldilocks with handbags. It's a strange thing.
Shoes, on the other hand - besides a good hair day, which is rare, nothing makes me feel sexier than a great pair of shoes. I love pointy-toes and love to choose outfits based on what shoes I want to wear. Plus I am a total heels girl; people are often amazed when they see me in flats (rarely) and they always seem to think I'm 2-3" taller than I am...because I wear heels so often.
I currently have slightly under 50 pairs of shoes (not counting things like tennies and functional shoes) and two more pair on the way. Handbags, OTOH, I have about...ten.
ETA: my shoes are definitely not disposable. I am careful with them and they last me for years and years.

im definitely a shoe girl! while i have a lot of purses and bags, i find it much harder to justify another bag than another pair of shoes. this probably has a lot to do with the fact that im in school and only carry my big honking computer/messenger bag every day. i rarely even carry a regular purse.
now mind you....the big honking computer messenger bag is really cute and sassy and probably could never carry a plain bag that wasn't totally me.
but shoes, god love shoes!

i agree w/your theory! i am a bag girl 100%. i can't wear shoes if they aren't comfy, they make me too miserable... so its alot harder for me to find cute shoes and once i find a pair i like, i tend to buy them in multiple colors and stick w/them throughout the season. pretty boring! but i absolutely love and am obsessed w/purses! can not have enough of them.
