I know this is a weird poll, but I know some of you ladies like certain critters/insects for jewelry/accessories/etc., so I thought I'd post mine (really only two):
I really like butterflies
and ladybugs
I also like bees, but don't have any, yet..... (LOL)
What about you?

I don't really have any "critter/insect" type jewelry. Somebody did give me a lizard brooch but I have never worn it.
I guess I do like those little lizards; anoles I think they are called. I like birds too. I can't really think of any other animal other then domestic or zoo types and I don't think they count as a critter.

ETA: Rollie Pollies are quite the entertainment. Wait, are they critters?-- Edited by rosie_the_riveter at 03:54, 2006-02-17
the little round grayish bug things? those are awesome! i like bugs. ohh, and salamanders. my parents house has a lot of brick edged flowerbeds and i loved going around and lifting them to see what kinds of bugs were hanging out underneath. i was always so excited as a little kid when i caught a salamander.
i like really all wild animals. bears, lions, tigers, oh my!
my favorite type of animal though? either dinosaurs or prehistoric animals really fascinate me. like the megaceros, the irish elk.
oh, and mammoths? awesome. they totally controlled the environment with thier massive migratory patterns and thier eating habits. i was on a kick for a while reading book after book on mammoths.

I agree with relrel on the whole prehistoric creature thing. I went to college in Nebraska, which is known for having great mammoth fossils. One of my classes was held in the building that housed the natural history museum. I went to that class 1/2 to 1 hour early every day just to stare at the mammoths and other awesome fossils.

dude, that's awesome. i love mammoths and other fossil type things. its really creepy to me to actually stand next to a mockup or skeleton and try to imagine them in real life. they're freaking huge! i can sit and stare at skeletons for hours on a time, just trying to picture me in a little deerhide outfit with a super sharp bone knife slicing open the belly. yeah, is that wierd?

I like birds in art and sculpture, but I'm not sure about in accessories. I guess if I found the right one, like the cute owl necklaces/belts or something with a peacock. I don't do bugs, though.
I like real-life ladybugs and roly-polys, though! I think rolys are called something different here, though. Can't remember what. Any New Englanders know what they're called?
I dont know if it would be considered a critter, but my favorite animal\fish-is a Koi . I absolutely love them because they are so graceful, colorful, and to me, smart. I have a tatoo of one on the inside of my right ankle ( about six inches) and have never regretted getting it for a moment. I have been told that the koi is concidered by the Japanese as a symbol for good luck.
ick, i hate bugs. except lady bugs. they're the only bugs that i can deal with - like if they land on me, i won't freak out. i guess i don't freak about flies either, but anything else...shudder.
i love all critters (except bugs as mentioned above).
