road trip from ca to wi

my boyfriend and i are thinking of renting a car and driving from san francisco to wisconsin in early june (getting from one wedding to another).

has anyone driven that part of the country? i am wondering if it is unrealistic to think we could do it in 5 days (leave monday, arrive friday night or sat morning). we'd probably like to go through yellowstone, badlands, etc.

would love any advice, thoughts!

I think you guys could do it.  I've road tripped from WI to NM in 3 days.  My BF's parents went from WI to Northern CA in less then 5 with a AZ detour.

My bottom hurts just thinking about spending that much time in a car. But it sounds like you are going to get to see some cool stuff. Have fun.
