I thought it would be a good idea to look back at 2005 and pick out our top 5 or so purchases of the year. Many of us agreed that this year would be the year of quality (not quantity) and great accessories. It might help to remember what we really love and use from last year while making up shopping lists for this year.
Not in any order:
1. Black leather boots for wearing with skirts/dresses. 2. Brown leather boots " " " " 3. Brown/white tweed peacoat that fits like a glove. 4. A wider array of handbags (in colors other than neutrals). 5. Jewelry that I have made.

I came, I saw, I did a little shopping.
1. Beverly Feldman embroidered pumps. I love them, they're very comfortable for a high heel, and they get lots of compliments when I wear them.
2. A pair of tan cords - impulse purchase from a Kohl's (I normally don't shop there). They were about $25 and I wish I'd gotten several other colors. They've held up well, are flattering, and so comfortable.
3. Gap cashmere hoodie. I never really considered "cashmere" and "hoodie" together, but got an awesome F&F discount on it and I have lived in it since I bought it in November.
4. Everything I bought at H&M this summer (we don't have H&M in my state). And for such great prices. I got three sweaters, a skirt, a tank, and boyshorts. And they're all still fab - holding up well and I have no buyer's remorse.
5. My sweater-coat from Nordie's. Another impulse purchase, but so warm and cozy and it makes me feel tall and sexy while I'm keeping warm.
Okay, I have to add a #6. NCshopper reminded me of my Paolo shoes...so my lace d'orsays. I love these shoes and wear them every chance I get. *s*

My brown BR wool herringbone suit (skirt, pants, and jacket)
Silver Bernardo sandals
Frye Harness boots
Red Linea Paolo pumps
Brown Seychelles wedges
I do pretty well when I shop. I'm so into planning out my purchases that I end up with items that really serve me well. The downfall is that my wardrobe isn't terribly spontaneous feeling, but I do have a lot of items that work well together.
ETA: OMG! I totally forgot my favorite purchases of 2005!!! Ironically, both came from Target--my brown tiered $13 skirt and my $12 silver ballet flats! I lived in both of those pieces this summer

Gold Chanel sneakers 40% off, bought in SF Chanel store last June when was short-cutting through store after buying tux at Brooks Brothers for DH for wedding. I have a photo somewhere. I have foot problems, so these are special to me.
Next is my MOG dress, which I am meaning to post along with photos of my son's wedding. I have a new Apple, so I'm still learning how to do stuff with it. Anyway, Carmen Marc Valvo, 3 pc. outfit, from NM. Now I must, I must get those wedding photos posted.
I will wear the outfit again, but separated into different pieces. (The land of MOB-MOG shopping is indeed a frightening one.)
My grey, purple and pink Puma Speedcats that I got on sale. I totally forgot about those until I saw this question!
A black turtleneck, herringbone martins, and a grey zippered sweatshirt thing from BR.
Two Scrapbook graphic tees from Delias that are so soft and broken in.
Reaction wedge boots. I'm really clumsy and tend to injure myself a lot in the winter, but I have never slipped while wearing these. I should have bought them in brown, too.
