Laduary YUK!!!! I try to do it  about two times a week, so it does not get out of control. Of course that does not happen and than Iam stuck with S*** loads of it. I wish my hubby would do his own , its bad enough getting him to put his dirty clothes in the hamper, it will pile up on the floor beside his dresser. Oh and Iam like Bex I HATE TO IRON, just hate it.Oh and the rule is if it is not in the dirty hamper it does not get washed

once every 3 weeks, if i'm good. ah the *joys* (and i say that sarcastically) of city living. i have to lug all my stuff to the laundry mat. if  i had a laundry in my building i'd do it once a week. but since i don't i can't. i don't mind doing laundry at all, but it's such a process, however if i wait it will take all day.

How many times a WEEK do you wash clothes? I swear, it's seven days in a week, and I feel like I'm washing at least 4 out of those 7, no thanks to Joe's changing clothes at LEAST 4x's a day, esp. when he's working in the garage. -- Edited by TheLovelyLady71 at 09:14, 2006-01-24

A week?  WHAT?  I do mine about every 1.5 months.  I've even bought new underwear and socks when running low to avoid doing laundry.  A lot of my stuff gets dry cleaned and I have tons of clothes so I am not wearing dirty clothes in the meantime, don't worry.

Me? Laundry? HA! Every six weeks by my old system. It's just such a damn chore to lug the clothes down to the laundry room in our respective complexes and we can't ever find time to do it until like 2 am when no one else is there. Plus it costs LAUNDRY QUARTERS! BLAH!

I just threw away fifteen pairs of crappy underwear I've owned since I was 12 (the granny panties my mom got for me, the dollar store thongs...the horror) to motivate myself to do the laundry. Hasn't worked too well...I'm tempted to buy more undies to stop doing laundry.

BF and I are looking into moving to a newer apartment building in our neighborhood that looks like it has washer/dryer hookups. We are crossing our fingers.

I'm shocked by how often you guys do laundry. Laken, how could you possibly do a load a day??? What do you do? I guess I wear a lot of sweaters that I just pretty much never wash so that cuts down on it. And I wash jeans after wearing them until they absolutely have to be washed. I agree with luckylily about not washing stuff to often or it gets ruined.

Between my 16 mo old son and my husband, we do at least one load of laundry every day.  The most common wash is probably baby clothes or towels.  I don't do my husband's laundry, but he definitely washes something of his, typically under T-shirts, since he changes into a fresh one as soon as he gets home from work, every other day or so.

We do laundry twice a week, typically they are dark loads and maybe once every 10 days or so I'll do lights. I have tons of towels and sheets so I can go a month without doing them.

I do laundry at least 4 times a week and it's just me and my husband! I feel like such a loser now after reading how little everyone else does theirs! I thoroughly blame it on my hubby though. He thinks his jeans are dirty after 1 wearing and that he can't use a towel more than once either. Oh well, I'd rather do laundry than dishes!

I have no damn clue but I'm going to figure it out because I didn't realize everyone didn't do this! I thought i was being efficient. I also don't have a laundry room, I have a laundry closet so if I don't wash them they are out in the open & i HATE that. I can put them in the basket & stack it on top of my washer but then I have to pull it back out when I wash & i just find that it's a pain. I'm now in laundry watching mode to see what the deal is!

Weirdly enough, I kind of enjoy doing laundry. I do it about 4 times a week, and then I do at least two loads. Luckily there is a laundry room on my floor in this apartment building, and you can pay with a pre-paid card, so no need to hoard quarters (which I've done before and it's such a pain). My hamper is on the small side, so I have to do it regularly or the clothes spill out and look messy, and also my BF is an artist and his clothes get dirty very fast. He works with vinyl tape a lot and I find pieces of it stuck to everything now.

I do laundry once a week, on Sundays. DH has to work in the morning, so I lug all our dirty clothes to the laundromat, about 1.5 blocks away. DH is so grateful I do laundry -- he hates doing it, but I don't mind. There's always something interesting going on in the laundromat -- the crazy lady hoarding all the carts, women fighting over the dryer, couples bickering, etc. Plus there's usually a Full House marathon on the TV, or maybe 4 back-to-back episodes of Becker. Yay!

The process itself is somewhat meditative -- there's not much to think about. Plus, I like getting the laundry from the dryer -- it's a little like Christmas. "oh, look, my sweater. Here's my pants, smelling nice. etc."

For some reason I love doing laundry! I don't take my laundry home over the weekend because of the horrible parking around here at school, so I lug them down the stairs about once a week.

I too like seeing all my stuff clean and it's an easy chore in my opinion because the machine does all the work.

I do laundry 2/3 times a week, but only because we live in a condo and our washer/dryer is very small/economy size. It seriously takes me 3 loads to do what would equal one full load at my mom's house.

If i had the regular size washer/dryer I could get by with only doing my laundry once every 10 days or so.

hubby does the laundry every day just about.
he likes for the laundry room to look neat. Fine with me.
He folds and puts them away about 90 percent of the time too.

I fortunately signed up for the laundry service at my school because I really don't have the time/energy for it. I hate doing it, so I usually did it like every 2-3 weeks, but I live on the fourth floor and the machines are in the basement, so it was a pain in the ass to carry it all down and up again. I still have to carry it with the laundry service, but it's easier to not worry about screwing it up. And they even do dry cleaning!
