Usually I get great service when I shop at Nordstroms.  On the 7th of Jan I went to my local Nordies and wanted to purchase a pair of boots $130+tax.  The pair they had in my size was peeling slightly on the leather.  Obviously I was not going to pay for that, so they checked to see who else had it in my size and said they would have it sent to me.  I asked if I should just order it online to make it easier.  The gal assured me that this was the best way and no shipping would be charged.  "You won't have any problems"   Well two weeks later I still have no boots.  On the 20th I call the store again to find out where the heck my boots are.  The guy tells me "oh apparently they got cancelled, your card didn't get charged.  They must have sold them or not shipped them out for some reason"  Well, irritated I said "what??? How come I was not informed.  You guys have all my info. I have been patiently waiting knowing that it can sometimes take awhile.  I was assured that I would have no problems even after I said I would order online" His reply "oh, well you weren't charged.  If you come back to the store I can take care of you if you still want them"  WTF!!!!! No apology nothing.  Seriously the guy wasn't fazed at all.  I said "no thanks" Thinking why am I giving these people commission if they don't deserve it. 


I  hang up call the cust. serv. # explain the situation- ask for expedited shipping at no cost.  The gal obligies and my boots should be in by 5:00 tomorrow. 


Have any of you ever had problems like this with Nordie?

I cant believe that guy was so un-apologetic!


While I had him on the phone I would have asked for his manager. That usually scares bad SA's enough into being helpful!

Of course anybody making commision is going to say ordering directly from them is better then buying online.  I rarely believe a word that comes out a sales person's mouth.  I once had shoes ordered to me from in Nordstroms.  Well, I guess it wasn't Nordstroms fault, but shipping did take forever and it wasn't even delivered to my house, I had to fetch it from the neighbors myself after the package had been sitting out in the rain for maybe two days because my neighbors were on vacation.

I used to work at Nordstroms and I was appalled at the level of service that I would see people give customers,especially in the shoe dept. Each dept. in Nordstroms has different commission levels and the shoe dept. has the highest so you would think that they would give the best!

I would also call that store and speak to the mgr....they need to know what crap that is!
