Hi Ladies!!! Ok after 4 days in Miami I had to do my weigh in eekkk!!
Week one weight: 1xx
Pds lost: 0
Pds gained: 0
Weight Loss goal for week: 1pd
Obstacles: Going to the Opera tonight, DH birthday dinner at Hugo's tomorrow, DH birthday party with my family Thursday, nieces birthday party on Friday, dinner party on Saturday This is going to be a tough week for me, but I can do it!

Ok I had suggestions to go either way on this, what's your opinion? Do you want to do it in a thread with weight being anonymous ( sp?) or would you like an email where we put in our real weight? Or both?
Good luck everyone!

I think some of the other girls wanted to do an e-mail thing. I don't really care too much either way.
Overall, I'm really pleased with this week!
Start weight: 142.5
Today's weight: 140.5
Weight lost: 2 pounds
Next week: 1 pound
Obstacles: Overcoming my own laziness.
Side note--yesterday morning I weighed myself and I was 138.5 and I was super excited, but then I realized I was ridiculously thirsty, so I'm attributing that weight to being totally dehydrated. Oops. But it was REALLY good to see my weight under 140. It's been awhile.
Obstacles: will be in CA all week so I'll be eating out. Its harder for me to eat healthy when I'm eating out. Also, not sure about the gym facilities at the hotel where I'm staying.
oh good lord. i'm telling someone how much i weigh...
last thursday i weighed 1x0.00 exactly.
i would like to be 1x5 by wedding (10-14)
so, i'll finish this up thursday morning.
obstacles: it's my time of the month. so i get lazy and don't go to the gym. must fix that. dinner saturday with friends. sunday= steelers football which usually means i'm doing some sort of drinking and eating.

Ok I'm going to do this by email as well for those of us who would rather keep our weight more private. So if anyone else wants to be a part of the email group as well IM me your email address! If not then we'll be doing the thread here as well weekly!

I'll do it either way, but I'm freaked about putting me weight out on the board. I will do it in an email though if ya'll will & promise not to do a big fat jawdrop cause it's a lot more than any of ya'll weigh. I really don't know what difference it makes since I don't "know" anybody here anyway, but it does, doesn't it??? ugh.
I weigh in tonight so I'll let ya'll know what happens. I wasn't that great this week either, but we'll see.

Ugh I feel sooo bad about weigh in today. I know I'm not making many progress and I just feel fat right now. Maybe because lunch just passed and I ate chinese again.
Beginning weight (today): 135
I would like to be 125/130 depending on if my body will let me
obstacles: eating in for lunch every day at work, leaving work at 8/8:30 thus putting dinner at 9 and working out at 9:30/10. I am going to try hard to motivate myself to go work out that late at night and to order healthy items like salads.
um...dumb question: can anyone do this fun little game? after a month at home with my mom telling me I'm fat I decided to actually look at myself and...she's right. Sigh. So, can I play to?
I was getting ready to ask the same thing, turtledove :) I'm very new to ST, but would love to join in if it's ok. I really need to hold myself accountable for being lazy... Thanks!

Of course the more the merrier! I also have an email group of some of us who'd rather not post our real weight on ST so you can join that as well or just do the thread! Either way everyone is welcome, the more support we all have the better I believe.

ok, i sent this with my actual weight emailed, but here it is - again I'm going from my starting 2 weeks ago cause it's just easier if i keep up the same everywhere. 1/10 - 6.6 pounds 1/17 - 2.4 lbs, total of 9 lbs lost.

I'd like to lose 30 lbs, but I'm going to goal for 20 right now. 30 might be disgustingly thin on my body type.
Obstacles: getting my butt to the gym in this cold weather when I have to wait for the subway, making time for the gym, and not eating everything in sight!
Alright- I am trying to lose weight too and have recently, but I dont have a scale. I want a cheapier one. Any suggestions? Then I will participate too. I think it will be good for me. Although I am lifting weights, while doing cardio, so I may eventually starting gaining weight. Anyway... I need a scale. What do you guys have?

Heatherlynn- I am cheap so I just bought one of those $5 scales at walmart for now. I figure it will do the trick for now. I just don't know how much money I want to invest in a digital scale you know. There are other things I'd rather spend my money on than a scale. Plus I have no where to put it...

I was going to buy one of those but when I stood on it in the store it said I weight 90 lbs (which i clearly do not!!). Could it have been because it was still in the carboard package? Also it wasn't calibrated so it starting at like 7lbs. I tried several and they were all the same.

It might be the surface you were on and the packaging but I don't know. I've always been told when you come home weigh a 5 pound weight (or something you know the true weight of - like a can good) on it to get it set right and do that periodically and you should be fine so that is what I do and it seems to work for me.
