Okay, maybe it's just me, but I thought Keira looked too freaking SKINNY at the GGs. Her hair and especially her makeup look good but geez - eat something already!
And cc - bwahahaha! I can't believe they wore the same dress! That's hilarious! I know it wasn't the MOST flattering thing Reese could have worn but I really liked it. I think it's a pretty, fashionable dress, although I'm not entirely sure it's GG appropriate. I'm sure she'll upgrade for the Oscars. And how hot is Ryan? Wowza!
As for Joaquin, I've read that he's very shy and all that jazz, so I'm sure that's all it was. Although I think he has been in rehab before, right?
I wasn't too excited by any of the gowns...Keira Knightly looked good, and I don't really like Kate Beckinsale, but I have to admit she looks very pretty. Otherwise, eh.
Okay, am I losing my mind or did Anthony Hopkins change the pronunciation of his name? Or is Gwyneth Paltrow just a crazy affected wannabe Brit/sophisticate? It's not really An-ton-y is it?
also...i'm pretty sure the desperate housewives were drunk...

I think it's the latter. There was something on msn.com about her psuedo-accent:
Horrifying wardrobe moment No. 2: Gwyneth dearie. OK, personally I was more offended by that fake-o English accent, but the white poufy Little-Bo-Peep curtain thing, complete with First Communion sleeves, draped over her teeny bump was more than a bit twee. You're either a fox or a hedgehog, Gwynnie, and we say: hedgehog.

I think this was a boring year for fashion and droopy dirty looking hairstyles. I was really disappointed in Gwyneth's attire for one, I didn't like most of the drapey looking dressing, except for Sandra Oh's. I really didn't like Sarah Jessica Parker's hairstyle at all. I don't mind her being brunette, but I really miss the soft buttery looking styles she has worn in the past awards shows.

IT doesn't sound possible, but Chanel managed to turn Reese Witherspoon into a fashion victim at the Golden Globes.
Witherspoon, who won Best Actress for "Walk the Line," wore a white-and-silver "vintage" Chanel dress - only to find out it was a mere 3 years old and that Kirsten Dunst wore the same frock to Globes after-parties back in 2003. Whoops!
Witherspoon's rep, Nancy Ryder, is said to be so angry at Chanel for giving her a recently recycled gown that she's vowing not to accept anything from Chanel again - or let her other clients, including Jennifer Lopez and Renée Zellweger, wear anything from the French couture house.
Ryder said, "Reese was told the dress was vintage. It was not. I'm not angry - just a little disappointed, but the big deal is Reese won the Golden Globe."

aw, that sucks. I was thinking it was "vintage" when kristin wore it too, but from this article it makes it sound like a hand-me-down.
Oh, and after seeing the desperate housewives sing karoke after the GG on Access Hollywood, I think it's safe to say they were drunk. The only one not chiming in was Marcia Cross & to be honest she just looked like a party pooper.

OMG--I totally saw that too and Terri Hatcher seemed like the biggest attention whore. She just seems to like to upstage everyone, which I think is so weird because this time last year she was really humble about being a "has been" that had made it again. She seems to have totally lost perspective.
I think one reason why I can't stand that show any more is because of her and Eva Longoria. I can't stand either of them and I don't understand why they've all of a sudden become media "darlings."
i've always heard that eva longoria wears butt enhancers, and i think these pictures prove it...
the two people who i think always look elegant, classic and beautiful, made some bad choices.. did not like charlize theron's dress....not very flattering, makes her belly look like she might be pregnant, and i thought that anne hathaway picked a really bad shade of red lipstick to go with bad makeup
i was looking for a pic, and i saw this...i think she needs to go on the fug girl's meter. she's got quite a bit of a bobble head factor going on.
i loved felicity huffman's dress, eventhough i felt like it's been done before..
my top three:
scarlett johansson (i'm usually not a huge fan)
mischa barton
kiera knightley.

I have to jump in on the Joaquin (sp??) Phoenix talk here. I LOVE him and have the hugest crush on him. I was so excited that he won for Walk the Line.
About him looking drunk/on something, I really do think it was because he was either surprised or shy that he had that look on his face. I heard that he did get into drinking to get into the Johnny Cash role (not sure if it's true but I heard it). Also, right before Walk the Line came out I saw him on Letterman. He told Letterman that he did go to rehab for the alcohol problem and that he hadn't touched it for like 8 months (or did he say 7 or 9 months? I can't remember--something like that).
Anyhow, I love his eyes and his scar. And his messy hair. And his cute smile. Ok I'll stop now.
Oh one more thing--I saw him on Oprah, along with Reese, for Walk the Line. They were talking about how he doesn't go see his own movies. Thought that was interesting.
