Welsh, German, and Irish. And maybe something else although I don't know exactly what (one of my great grandparents was adopted and knew nothing about the biological family).
On my mom's side I am French, Irish, Welsh, and German. I love the names on my mom's side of the family: Leonie La Hayes (supposedly French royalty), Cora Denault, and Geraldine O'Brien (a famous actress in the 30's).
On my dad's side, I am Mexican and Italian. I don't really know much about that side of my family as my dad has never been involved in my life. I do know that my grandfather met my grandmother when they were teenagers. His family moved from Italy to Mexico and she was their maid. My paternal grandfather's last name was Cervante, but I never met him or my grandmother.
Italian, Sicilian to be exact. I was born in Sicily and came to the US when I was 13. My dad's mom was full French but grew up in Sicily, his dad was Sicilian and my mom's whole family came from Sicily.
I have quite a few relatives who still live in Catania or right outside of Palermo. In fact my mother recently purchased a home in Catania and has been living here and there.
dad: 50% Thai (mom)/50% Chinese (dad...he apparently left China in the 1920s or so for Thailand)
Both families didn't keep records because they couldn't afford to until my parents' generation (my parents have no pictures of them from their childhood) so I don't know all that much about my family. They were all peasant rice farmers. My parents and all my uncles and aunts were the first generation to go to college..
one of my uncles on my dad's side married (and divorced) a German, so I have three cousins who lay claim to the IMO far cooler 50% German/25% Thai/25% Chinese mix.
