i loved nina's dress. off the top of my head i think it's dvf but not 100% sure. i can't wait for the episode when santino is out, just to see the expression on his face. i know he'll have a really memorable reality meltdown.

i actually wish they could've done something individually. i think emmit's design style would've been perfect for this challenge.

I loooved Nina Garcia's dress too! I just kept looking at it instead of what everyone had designed. I'm glad Daniel and Andrae won. They totally deserved it. I liked Chloe and Emett's design as well. Poor Nick! I'd hate to work with someone as cocky as Santino. His design was pretty bad imo.

I'm sooo happy about the elimination. Marla and Diana sucked so bad. The desing wasn't awful, but it looked like shit on the runway. Bad tailoring? I don't know, but it was puckering and stuff all over. Plus they're both obnoxious. I liked Daniel and Andrae's design (because Daniel and I are dating), but I didn't think it was terribly creative. I actually liked Santino's. I think it was the most creative, and totally possible for Banana to sell considering this dress from this winter...

But I also thought this partnering challenge was stupid. Also, I'm crazy excited for next week.

i agree with maddie - i liked santino/nick's outfit and would totally have bought that amazing top/jacket and worn it with some jeans to go out. my favorite was chloe & emmit's skirt/top (the reversible jacket was kind of 'eh' to me). I was glad daniel & andre won and i've found that andre is much more tolerable (loved his dress for the nikki hilton challenge) since his meltdown in the first episode. nick is still my favorite!

and scarlett was on the show! during the part where the "customers" were voting for the window displays she was one of the people they showed briefly. it was very neat to see someone i know on tv! :)

I seriously thought Santino and Nick were going to be out. What were they (err...Santino) thinking?!? I love Nick though, so I was so happy they they stayed in. That suit was boring, but at least it was more on the line of what Banana would sell. They took the challenge into account at least a little.

I LOVED the outfit with the silver top. I am so sad that it didn't win- I totally would have worn it! I liked the one that won OK, but felt that the dress was a little off without the jacket. Something about the neckline that I didn't like.

LOL Last night was my first time seeing Project Runway, and it's a pretty cool show! LOL That Santino IS something else, very 'confident' in himself and his work. The epi. I saw was where they designed a party dress for Nicky Hilton, and she picked him as the WINNER. Wow. I liked Nick's dress better, but oh well. I'll be watching it again in the near future.

I'm probably going to be the only person that hopes Santino wins!! He is overly cocky and full of himself, but I do love almost everything he has made. He is super talented and is full of good and bad personality. I find him entertaining to watch.

I totally agree. I think he is by far the most creative and talented designer on the show. Also, I don't think his personality would be that out of place in the fashion world.

but what about part II — those window displays? i actually thought marla/diane's was kinda cute and quirky. i thought santino/nick's was really flat + dull with terrible execution.

another thing that bothered me about the santino/nick team was their presentation on the runway in front of the judges. santino was so defensive and negative. poor nick was just grasping for something to say and i think it was unfortunate that all he could think of was to take a stab at santino.

i think santino's big mouth is going to get him cut before it's down to the final three. he's not going to win the judges over by constantly arguing with and insulting them. i think he has a ton of talent, but my prediction is that his attitude is going to be his downfall. the judges will surely narrown it down to the designers who have the complete package.

OMG I almost cracked up when Santino told Michael Kors that everyone knew of Banana republic but not everyone knew who Michael Kors was. HA! If he keeps insulting the judges, he might be in trouble. I did love Chloe/Emmett's design. Zulima is such a Biatch but the Kara does cry a lot. I am glad Marla is out, and I agree about Diana too. *sigh* I had such high hope for her, but her concepts are executed badly.

how adorable was it when kara was almost in tears and cutie-pie daniel v. just walks up and gives her a big kiss on the cheek and walks away...aww. i love him.

i couldn't believe how nasty santino got with michael kors! it's pretty clear how much nina dislikes him (and heidi, too, i think increasingly), so it will be interesting to see if kors turns on him, too. i hatethe ugly faces he is constantly making on the runway, too--ugh.

my ultimate fave is nick, though--i hope he wins the whole thing.

ok, doesn't this dress, which i just noticed on BR's website today look very very similar to the one zulema and kara made? (you know, sans the "power bitch" vest).

i thought that daniel and andrae's outfit was going to be the one sold on BR's website. is this just a coincidence, since BR gave them the fabrics to use?

I think it is just a coincidence. The fabric they selected from was fabric BR was already incorporating into their spring line. I can't find a picture of the Project Runway dress, but I think the neck and hem are really different than this dress.

Daniel and Andrae's outfit was sold on the BR website. It sold out pretty quick, since I went to look the day after the show aired and it was sold out already. It *might* still be available in select stores.
