Has anyone ever done this? Did you like it...what were the pros/cons? What is the salary range? Also, what sort of things should I look for in a school, how long does it take to learn this? I would be working in a very upscale salon in Scottsdale, AZ.
I don't know much about this.. I do have a friend that used to do it part-time.. But she was also an estitician and hair stylist.. just to pay her bills.
While reading this, the first thing I thought was "no money". I'm sure an up-scale salon would make this a little better though.
the time depends on your state, but i know around here the nail tech program is only 4 weeks!
the $$ really just depends on how busy you are. it's not a bad length of time, and if the program isn't expensive, i say go for it. you can always do it part time and go from there...
Erin - if you don't mind sharing - what state do you live in? I've done a little bit of research, and so far it looks like for AZ it would be 6 months! That seems like way too much time for nails!
i live in pennsylvania where they require 200 hours (closer to 5 weeks, full time) for the nail technician program. it says arizona requires 600 hours.
