Several years ago, I got my nails done by a manicurist in a swanky lil salon. Instead of gluing plastic tips on the end of my nails, she put little stickers under the nail tips then swiped on some white stuff that hardened into 'nails.' After lots of filing and buffing, my nails looked absolutely fabulous. Sooooooo does anyone know what this process is called? I feel kind of dumb since she actually did my nails for about six months and I never once asked, "hey, what about the little plastic tips? what is this badass thing you're doing to my nails?" I want nails again but I need to know what the process is called so I can find someone who does it. Annnnd that manicurist has since moved far, far away.
TIA!

It sounds to me that it might have been your regular acyrlics or gels just w/out the tip. I have Gel nails, and yes, I do have the tips put on, but I know when a nail breaks, they do what you said and put the sticker thingy on top and just but the gel over it. Does that make sense - could that be possible?
