So I hardly ever go there anymore, because I've had several experiences with their sales people being too pushy. Well, they were having their huge sale and I wanted to stock up on some bodywash.
The clerk rings me up (the total came to $8.) and I hand her my discount card and she totally dismissed it. She said "oh, you'll only save 80 cents" I didn't persist because she made me feel like I was some kind of scum bag for wanting to get 10% off. geez louise
oh that sucks. That is like saying a $0.50 coupon isn't worth using at the grocery store. Don't let them make you feel like that!!! You are better than that.
Wow. What an attitude... I can't believe she said that to you! I would have been so rude back, how awful for her to make you feel that way.
And why do SAs there have to be so pushy? It's a bath/beauty products store, I want to browse and smell everything because I really am "just looking," and I can read the friggin' label, so I know what the ingredients are and what this stuff does to you. And no, I don't want to "try it out" because if I use it on myself now, it'll clash with my perfume the rest of the day. Sheesh. (Can you tell this is a sore spot? )
I agree, and I used to work in a bath and body product store (gee, guess which one) and we were told to be so pushy and try to meet all these crazy sales quotas! I hated it!!! Do I really need to help or push people to SMELL stuff and POSSIBLY put it on thier hands??? There is less pushyness at clothing stores for pete's sake! Plus, usually people have very specific scent preferences, I know I do! Why would I want to force someone to try on some scent they might hate and run around the mall smelling like crap the rest of the day??
As for the coupon thing, what a beeotch!!! A coupons a coupon!
I e-mailed them right after my original post and I just got a response asking for my address so that they can mail me a gift cetificate. They also said they are going to report my complaint to the district manager. So I'd just like to say "Dear snotty sales clerk, "
