Also a convert to Bare Minerals early this year. I had only bought one pot from ebay and not so great at using it, but then i finally got the kit from Sephora and it is just amazing! love the mineral veil and warmth too!
Also finally splurged on the Shu Uemura eyelash curler (then they came out with the gold plated one a onth later). I have very short lashed, but these have got most of them!
Stila Smudge pot eyeliners - awesome!
Mac eyeshadow base (in Shell) - My eyeshadow NEVER stays on w/out this.
Jergens Natural Glow
Maui Babe Browning Lotion - for while in Hawaii to get extra tanned! smells yummy!
and The Pill - tried to go off it last month which resulted in breakouts and now I am back on - it still serves it's original purpose from when I got on many years ago. I am a believer.
Old favorites tried & true:
Origins Spot Remover
Shiseido The Skincare line for my ultra sensitive skin
Aveeno Baby Lotion & Cream with Oatmeal
Stila Lip Gloss and Eyeshadows!!! I'm and addict!
Tweezerman tweezer
Nailtiques Protein (for nail growth) and cuticle oil
Not a beauty product per se but I just love the "Memoirs of a Geisha" fragrance by Fresh. I got a sample from a Sephora order and thought it smelled wonderful.
Hubby got me the gift set for Xmas and everyone compliments me on the scent. It's an exotic, spicy scent but yet light enough to wear in the daytime. The set came with a body wash and a face mask. I have used the body wash but have not used the mask yet.
halley... what is homemade aspirin toner? Im looking for a remedy to clear up my skin... right now my skin is soo dried out from using so much retin A, i literally have dry skin peeling off my face, even after I exfoliate!, ive never had face problems and now I am and going crazy...
nicole you might want to stay away from exfoliating while you're on retin A, it may irritate your skin further. i was on retin A in college and it worked wonderfully but i remember the first six weeks my skin was literally flaking off and there was nothing i could do besides moisturize and make sure to apply sunblock, sunblock and more sunblock. anyway, try and stick the next few weeks out because i remember the second stage was rosy cheeks and the most glowy complexion, good luck!
ETA: forgot to add my beauty finds of 2005! this year will be best remembered beauty-wise for YSL touche eclat, NARS body glow, and Kiehl's blue herbal spot treatment.
ETA: oh perfume-wise i fell in love w/ sjp's lovely and ysl's cinema.
Not all of these are new products, but just things I discovered and loved this past year...
*Neutrogena Micro Mist self tanner- the best I've found
*Cargo lipglosses- I love the packaging, colors and the consistency isn't too gloppy
*Another Bare Minerals Fan- my new favorite is the Clear Radiance and Glee all over color
*Roc Retinol Correxion Eye Cream- this is good stuff
*Philosophy When Hope is Not Enough SPF 20- My daily sunscreen. I love this stuff and have gotten to use to it smelling like a gin and tonic.
*DDF Glycolic toner- this is also some good stuff
*Marshy Mint Body Soufflee- my new favorite body lotion. It smells like mint and mashmallows and has a heavenly whipped texture. LOVE.
*Bliss Poetic Waxing kit- so much cheaper and less embarrasing then getting it done professionally. More time consuming though.
*Glycolic treatments/glycolic facials by my facialist. My skin has never looked better! I used to LOVE microdermabrasion but I get even better, deeper results with this.
sfclinevandy wrote:*Roc Retinol Correxion Eye Cream- this is good stuff * what does this do? I need a new eye cream.
It attacks and prevents crows feet. That's really not a problem for me (now) but it also reduces circles and puffiness. I tried it after reading amazing things about in Allure and it's great. Plus you can buy it in the drugstore, which is also nice.
Almay Healthy Glow face tanner. Just a subtle pretty beachy glow. Not in-your-face-hey-its-super-obvious-I-used-self-tanner, more like I-went-to-the-beach-yesterday-and-got-a-nice-tint.
