Can you help w/ our Nursery?
Permalink Closed

So here is what we have going on in there right now:

A star like this in white:

A mirror like this in white:

A crib like this:

These in pink:

The walls are a sage green, with white chair rail around the room.  We're doing pink and green.  So here's my question.  Which window treatments?  I'm leaning toward the solids because I think the others would be too busy.

These are gingham and come in pink or green:

These I would get in white:

JMR did you put shades or something underneath to filter light?  Do they let a lot of light in?

I love the white ones  but yes mini blinds would be great to filter out some of the light. Just looking at them Iam feeling relaxed

First of - that room is going to be tooo cute!  way better than my room!  looks like ti will be a page right out of Shabby Chic for babis or Pottery Barn for Kids!

My choice would be:

abumInit(44784, 1);
document.onclick=abumHideMenu;

abumInit(44784, 1);
document.onclick=abumHideMenu;

I'd totally do the pink gingham.  That is going to be one cute nursery!  You'll have to post pics of the finished product.

i really like the stuff you've picked so far--it's going to be adorable.  i think i'd go with the white roman shades, only because your walls are sage green so the pink gingham might look too contrast-y.

the white will also be more versatile when she gets a bit older and transitions to a "big girl bed" and you may not want to redecorate the whole room.  you could also go with a simple bamboo shade, too--that might look cute with what you've got.

I would go with the pink gingham to break up the green from the walls. I don't think it would be too busy since you will be taking the pink and white colors from the bedding. Either way I think your room is going to be adorable!

I vote for the white, too, for the same "light, airy feel" reason.

yes, you need shades underneath.

I have not put them up yet though - right now I have the drapes hanging down so no one can see in - but the light comes in (helping baby realize night/day with the light) but I plan to put them up soon. I just bought simple white pull down shades.
