Those for SIL, plus iPad versions of Life and Monopoly for my nephews. And for me:

I really must stop buying myself gifts, otherwise I'm assuming that I'll return everything other people buy me this year.

Finally got a "big girl" phone.  I can now do everything that your average 5 year old can do on a phone.

I'm doing mine through Virgin.  You have to pay almost full price for the phone, but the phone & data plan is only $35 a month.  I've been waiting for them to drop the price since the 5 came out this summer.  I am probably the last person in Amerca who has never actually texted anyone before.

haha! I felt like the last person in America to text when I got a texting phone in 2008!

I'm on a company plan but we have to buy our own phones - I've been wanting a new phone anyway because mine is going to shit (I swear they put a ticking time bomb in them to make them start to mess up at around the 2 year mark), and I found the iPhone for $50 in my aunt's pawn shop so I jumped on it!

I bought this for a pal who is not vegan but Chloe Coscarelli is sweet and adorbs and won Cupcake Wars so what's not to love

I unshopped the dalmatian print flats. Cute as they were, they did not fit well, and if I'm literally going to lower myself by wearing flats, they'd better be comfortable. Sad but it eases the pain of the other things I have bought myself this month.

And I also bought the scrub and moisturizer in the Giovanni D:tox line (per the beauty buys thread) because it was on sale at the health food store. So.

Christmas gifts:

For my middle brother

il_570xN.380831700_enjc.jpg I still can't believe I haven't bought these for that brother before.

th?id=H.4672117796438249&pid=15.1 New Holland Beer Barrel Bourbon - They reuse bourbon barrels to age their Dragons Milk Stout (YUM!), then use those same barrels to age a Kentucky bourbon. So the same barrel has been used 3x.  My brothers and I have gotten into bourbon beers this last year and I think the one who likes bourbon is going to love how they up it from just the beer back to a bourbon.  I hope he opens it Christmas day so I can get a taste for my blog.biggrin

For one SIL:

1709431618034040_1.jpgEbay had a Coach outlet (so I feel confident they aren't counterfits, just probably from their outlet productions) and I could actually afford this.  She has always wanted a Coach Bag (she has a few knock offs including the brown version of this bag and while I don't understand the appeal of knockoffs, she doesn't have the same issues.)  She was looking at second hand ones in a resale shop, but they have a second kid on the way and can't really spend $ on things like that.   I can't wait for her to open it.

For the nephew:

13295695.jpgWhat kind of an aunt would I be if I didn't spoil him a little?  I love that it has a little trunk and a pretend gas tank.

Boots, you are an awesome gift giver!
Let me know how you like the burbon, my hubby's a big burbon drinker and I'm always looking for good ones for him to try...this sounds fun.

I have only used the face wash, but am still loving it. I just bought my second bottle. I'd love to hear what you think of the scrub and moisturizer. I'm just been using coconut oil as moisturizer lately.

BOOTS:

You made my day posting about that burbon. My husband and I LOVE dragon's milk. And, we've been getting into Burbons (him more than me). I didn't know about that product (and I'm a Michigander). But, I called the local shop and they have it, so guess who is getting it for Christmas. That's right, Mr. Greendiamond. He sends his thanks in 10 days, I'm sure of it.

Boots! I need that beer bourbon! They don't distribute anywhere near me! This would be a fantastic gift for several of my family fellas. Hmmm, I need to track down some friends that can score this and ship it to me.

Kari- It wasn't easy to get.  One of the big liquor stores here in IL is called Binny's Beverage Depot.  All the stores near me were out of stock but I noticed that you could order on line.  Of course I had a gift card I wanted to use and they don't have that option on the website yet.  So I facebooked them and they were extremely helpful.  The guy in charge of the whiskey department in another store found one for me, took my info and is having it sent ot my local store for pick up this weekend.  They really went out of their way to help me.

You can try to order it on the Binny's website. I know that there are liquor restrictions in mailing so I don't know if they'll ship to you, but you can try.

New Holland is in MI and I really wanted to visit it when I was in Saugatuck earlier this summer.  We didn't have the time. but I'm hoping the SIL's parents will invite me back next summer and I can get up there then.

IAPT- I'll let you know.  It got really good reviews so I'm ancipating that my brother is going to love it (me too!)  The beer that is aged in the barrels before the bourbon is put in is delcious so I can't imagine that 2 good things won't produce a 3rd.  See if you can snag a bottle of the New Holland Drangons Milk Stout for your DH and if he likes that, he'll proibably like this bourbon.

Will do, definitely. I haven't been loving the cleanser yet. I have noticed a few tiny bumps which I hope are "detox" effects but maybe I didn't have a lot of gook to extract in the first place?

I actually found this place.  They won't ship here, but I have a friend in a state that they will ship to, so i shipped it there for him to ship to me!  What a mess!  But super excited!

Boots...I go through Virgin as well and have since J-Bug was born! Great service, no? Prior to 2003 I had tried several other regular carriers, all with horrendous issues. I've never looked back since. I'm on the Android Optimus V, but may be upgrading in 2013.

I'm delighted to report that after many months of having only my mobile internet, my home computer is plugged back in! :) Swype and Stylethread to not a good match make, so I've been spotty at best with posting. Little did you all know that I was shop-shop-shopping away all this time...since nary a post went up. At some point I hope to get round to updating most of my recent purchases, but for now I'll be brief!

cn5163668.jpgOld Navy had a great sale on colored skinnies so I jumped into this trend (late) but big-time!  I bought them in this lovely cobalt, olive green, white, black, grey and deep purple.  Additionally, I picked up the skinny cords (same cut) in olive and dark grey.  I  (still) have the tendency to think I am to old to wear these (or look like I'm trying to be young and hip) but I'm slowly coming around...particularly since my Old Navy binge also included some nice long sweaters.  I bought a bunch of the sweaters that were on sale but sized up from XS to L so they are loose and tunicy and do that shoulder slouch thing on me.

I found another pair of skinnies at Target...teal snakeskin print!!! that I couldn't resist, along with two more sweaters to cover my behind when I wear the white skinnies.

More importantly though...J-Bug and I expanded our family last week...we're a trio now with the addition of Katja Noel, a 3yr. old rescue cat!!!

So far so good on Virgin.  I'm annoying everyone I know with questions about stupid things like texting issues and games people have been playing for years (my bbf's sone set me up with Words with Friends so we could play, so cute!)  But other than when I'm at work (my offices are in a basement with no signal) I've had no issues with the phone.

I love my colored skinnies!  I only have them grey, navy, teal and oxblood (still pretty nuetral colors)  but I wear them a lot.  I'm searching for something in red, plum or the cobalt color that you got.  I don't think it's an age issue, I think it's just getting used to a new idea.  I felt silly the first time I wore the teal ones, but now it's second nature to me.

In addition to the polka-dot jeans I posted on the PDJ thread, I went to "World Market" which I still call Cost Plus, and bought a bunch of ethnic and gourmet goodies to make up some gift bags. One is for my brother - I always give him various snacks and hot sauces - and two are for some orphan friends I just found out are coming over on Christmas Day. At least I had enough advanced notice to throw something together.
