Not for me, but my little sister wants one and the Chi Ultra is on sale at Ulta for $139.95 and it comes with 4 bottles of Chi silk infusion (whatever that is). I have a few questions...
1. Is it really that better than other straightening irons (including other ceramic ones)?
2. Do you know anything about the Ultra Chi model? I don't use a straightening iron so I'm kinda clueless if this is a good one or not.
i don't know about the chi ultra.. but i have the chi turbo and think it's great. you can get it on folica.com for $120 plus the free pouch. this is a great deal i bought my sister the same iron from folica last week for $130 (and am going to try to get a price adjustment), and bought it myself about a year ago for $180.. it sells in stores for $200
I have a Rusk, which is (according to my stylist) "as good" as the Chi, but it was about $30 less. (I paid $110). I love the Rusk, and have no complaints, but over the past week, I visited my sister-in-law, who has a Chi, and I used hers, and I have to admit ... the Chi IS better. I tested several at my salon before I bought, and knew the Chi was better, but the Rusk was next best and I decided to economize. But, after using it again, I think the Chi is definitely worth the extra $$$. Sorry, I'm babbling.
Perfect time for my sig emoticon!

I have teh Chi turbo, it's great but so is pretty much any version of the Chi. You can get it for cheaper on Overstock.com. I got one for my sister for Christmas for like $80

I have a Paul Brown one and it was around $100, and they are totally worth it. I used to have a Hot Tools one and it sucked and fried my hair. This one is amazing. I got mine at Rapport in Dunwoody, they also carry the Chi ones too!
I recently bought myself a $90 flat iron--not the chi. It was kind of an emergency, my other one broke and I ran into a beauty supply store and just bought the one they recommended to me. Now I wish I had looked into it more--I definitely would have bought myself a Chi. I borrowed my friend's Chi over the weekend and I LOVED it. My hair looked so great, I even got a ton of compliments at work. I can't remember if it was the Chi or the turbo Chi.
Does anyone know where the cheapest place is to purchase a chi? I really don't want to spend a 100 on one, but if I have to, i guess i will.
