... call or write a company when you have had a positive customer service experience? I think it is important to notify the correct people when you are unhappy with the service you receive, but having worked in customer service, it is also nice when customers have positive things to say. Many people do not realize that when they commend someone's work ethic and attitude, they are helping not only that person, but themselves as well. I love when people call or write my boss and say that I did a great job and made their stay at the hotel so much better. Employees (at least where I work) are rewarded when they do a good job. This is a long rant just to suggest to you ladies that when you receive good service, let someone know! I can't tell you how many times I have received a gift certificate in the mail for everything from a Carl's Jr. burger to a hotel stay for giving feedback. You, and the employee you are commending, do not go unnoticed!
actually, I did it for the first time a couple of weeks ago with Armani Exchange. I thought the customer service had done such a great job that I had to tell someone!
i do it all the time, especially at nordstroms because it's so easy to just fill out a card while standing in line. i do it at restaurants too because sometimes the bill isn't high so even a 50% tip isn't that much so i write a note to the manager for times like those. it makes me feel good every time i do it. thanks for the reminder stardemi, especially during the holiday season, i know people are working extra-hard and are superstressed--especially people who work in retail.
usually i just grab the manager at a restaraunt and let him know what a stellar job his employee did- but i probably should write notes so that they have something tangible to show!
