Update: They sent me $30 gift card for complaining to them and alerting them to the talk to the hand SA


 


I went to the Westchester Mall BR today to get my price adjustment on my purchases from 12/11. I have no qualms doing this as I spend a lot of money in BR and if they are going to adjust the price within a reasonable time of my purchase I should get the lower price. Well for the Martin Flannel Pants they are on sale online but not in the store. I was also going to purchase more pants, and a cardigan. Well when the adjustment came up and I argued it they refused to look into it more. The person helping me even got someone more experienced and they still came up at full price


So, I left my purchases on the counter and stormed out. So mad that I went into Pottery Barn sat on the couch and called BR Online, the pants were in fact onsale. So the customer service rep on the phone was so cute and said he would stay on the line with me and talk to the manager. So I go back into the store, find my items to buy again, and get back into line. I ended up getting the same sales girl who gave me more attitude. she even gave me the "talk to the hand" hand when I tried to tell her that they are on sale. I even got BR Online on the phone to tell her. It was such a fiasco never have I ever left a BR feeling so enraged. The manager ended up corrected the problem finally but I did threaten to walk out again and cut up my LUX card.


Yes I am a drama queen but I demand customer service and do plan to email them my complaint. One should never be given the hand.

  • By phone
    1.888.BR STYLE (277.8953), option 5, option 4, option 2
    9am - 9pm EST, Monday - Friday, 12am-7pm EST Saturday, 12am-6pm EST Sunday.
    Made my complaint and they are probably sending me some incentive to shop at their store. I probably won't ever go out of my way for that BR.

Yah I know what you mean, I can't believe the girl gave you the hand. I wasn't laughing at you, its just so rare that the sentence can be used in context and that made it funny.

Not to digress from the original post but has anyone been getting their rewards from BR lately?  I have gone 2 months and racked up over 400 pts and haven't gotten anything except  bills and ads in the mail for their sale.  I'm getting kinda ticked at them because its not the first time I've had mail problems with them.  I guess I better call tomorrow-  BR Customer Service Line???

Funny you should mention this as I had totally forgotten about the BR rewards. I have dropped a lot of $$$ there in the last few months and have seen nothing other then the same sale ads you mentioned.


I can't complain though about their customer service in store, my shop in Princeton is wonderful and they all are so nice.

I was wondering about my BR rewards the other day, so I called and the CS rep told me it could take up to 90 days to get them!  I did just get them last week though.

I just find this riduculous that they can find the time to bill us each month and send us cards announcing sales but it takes 90 days to send us our rewards!!  Hmm  I guess I can wait until the end of the month and then call.
