Mags for Less + Lucky = Bad

I ordered Lucky through Mags for Less on Aug 5th.  I FINALLY received my first issue of Lucky yesterday.  It was the NOVEMBER issue.  The Jan issue is on newstands.  WTF?  I called Lucky, who blamed Mags for Less.  I called Mags for Less, who blamed Lucky.  Lucky ensure me that I would receive my Dec issue in 4-6 weeks.  WTF?  I don't want my Nov OR my Dec issue 4-6 weeks after newstands.  Am I missing something?

OMG Tara - I'm not even kidding - I ordered Lucky from Mags for Less on the same day and I got the November issue, also my first issue, YESTERDAY too!  That's really bizarre.  Needless to say, I went back and forth w/Lucky and Mags for Less and the same thing happened to me -they each blamed eachother.  I cancelled my order w/Mags for Less and they sent me a refund check.  They are horrible!  I will never order from them again.

That is hilarious!!!  We are kindred spirits in the magazine world!  Yeah, I am so annoyed - I have no idea what I am going to do with a 2 month old fashion magazine?  Do I dare flip through it and try to find stuff that has been sold out for months?  Argh.


I am jealous that Mags for Less sent your money back.  They just keep writing me mean emails

i've been ordering from discountmagazines.com and haven't really had any problems.  maybe you could switch.

i ordered a mag from them, don't remember which, i get a ton.  BUT !!


one day i got a mag from a few months ago, and about 3 days later i had 3 issues in my mailbox including the current one.


hopefully this will happen to you !

LOL - I know, we totally are!


Write them a nasty email of your own and tell them to stop sending you emails giving you the run around and that you want to cancel your account ASAP.  I wrote 3 emails like that and they finally cancelled and sent me a check.  Good luck & let me know what happens.

Ok, I nearly fell out of my chair!  Jeff and I have been emailing back and forth at least 4 times!  My last email to him was "I am confident you will extend my subscription for another year due to the issues on hand".  And he never wrote back! Ha!  You must be much more persuasive than me!

well, I ordered vegetarian times through them. They skipped one issue (can't remember which one, Nov or Dec) and billed me twice! I e-mailed them as soon as that happened, and the guy said it's a bank issue. Of course it was not, I wrote again and didn't get any answers. I decided that it was too much trouble for 7.60$, but it's terrible to hear you guys' stories too!

i ordered lucky just from one of those cards that comes in the mag and it was only $12 and i have never had a problem.  i have renewed my subscription twice now.  i love the mag.  i also get allure and love it.

I had the same experience with Lucky - and I ordered from them directly - I sent the postcard and got October/November dropped off at my doorstep one day.  Then I waited and waited and just got December a few days ago.  January is nowhere in sight.


I called them and they said they'll just extend my subscription for 2 more months.
