The boy has been sick the past couple of days and I've gone out of my way to be especially nice to him and try to take care of him.
He just said that I've been in a mood all week long and "short" with him. I have not! I've been taking care of his sorry ass!
And he's been really busy at work this week (he was working on a big contract that finally got signed today) and he's been sick, so there's been little to no time for me, which is okay because I understand. Just don't stand there and tell me I'm in a mood when I've been super sweet all week long.
Ugh. Normally he's the sweetest guy but this really gets under my skin. I guess it doesn't help that I stayed up all night last night because he was coughing. (Probably the same for him.) Okay, I'm starting to feel sorry for him again...
Sick men suck. And I am the EXACT same way, blubirde - I think I'm taking care of them but I kind of resent it so I am short. And it shows. That is why I'm not a nurse & that's what I always say!
Maybe you were sweet but he is cross so he didn't feel it. Because he's short & feeling crappy.
So sorry. I'm no help, but I wanted to commiserate with you!

Thanks. I was a little resentful today. (Mainly because my bday is on Monday and we're supposed to be celebrating all weekend - I demand weekend celebrations. )
But I honestly thought I was being super nice yesterday at least! Bleh. Stop being sick already!
I agree with Laken. Sick men are THE WORST. My dad literally just sits in his recliner and moans and moans and moans when he's sick. It's terrible. And my husband who is normally the nicest, most patient, most wonderful person can get pretty grouchy and pissy too. Not that it's an excuse though. I'd probably just let it go for now, but if he brings it up again, then I'd be like "What's the deal?"
it's true, sick guys are such whiners!!!! my ex will call me up just to complain about a stupid cold... he lives on the east coast and i'm in CA, so i always think, "why are you calling me about this? i can't help you from over here! it's just a cold, you'll survive!" geez....
blubirde, i agree with NCshopper- let it go for now (even though it's maddening), but definitely call him out if he brings it up again.
Sooooo truuuuue. I am laughing because my dad does the exact same recliner/moaning thing, too. Like, literally, he just flops there like a dead fish, moaning piteously until my mother brings him some tea or something.
Sick men are just large, hairy infants.
My favourite part is when I get sick and he doesn't even mention it again after I've mentioned it.
