I just read an article about some magazine's best beauty buy (of course they probably get paid to recommend some of those products.) But it started me thinking about my own "best" list. What's a product that I reach for over and over again? What am I so happy that I bought even though I only use it when I need a pick me up? What can't I live without? Here's mine, what's your's?
Best Moisturizer:
Gentle yet really moisturizes my skin without making it feel greasy. I use it AM (with a sunscreen) & PM.
Best serum: C+E topical vitamin C Serum enriched with vitamin E from Makeup Artists Choice. I've been using this since March and I really have seen a difference with my skin's texture and clarity
Best Foundation- MUFE HD foundation. Perfect shade for my skin (they have a lot to choose from) Doesn't get cakey or fake looking on me. I tend to mix it with a little of the CeraVe lotion to make a tinted moisturizer most mornings.
Best Blush- Charlotte Ronson 3X A Charm kit. I was really skeptical last year when an associate at Sephora tried it on me, but the kit is wonderful. The blush is similar to Nars' Orgasm but not sparkly. I like that the luminizer is subtle and is a powder (nice change from all the cream & liquids out there.) The bronzer is not muddy on me and works well with the blush color. This is the set I take when I travel, but also one I reach for on a daily basis.
Best Mascara-Diorshow. I've tried a lot of mascaras and this is the best IMO. It doesn't flake. It doesn't clump. It make me look like I'm wearing flash lashes after 2 coats. Worth every penny to me.
I recently started using Giovanni's D:Tox active charcoal face wash, and I love it. It is really pulling all kinds of gunk from my skin! It's like a daily dose of the Origin's active charcoal mask that several of us like.
Bumble & Bumble dry shampoo/hair powder spray. So expensive but so awesome for voluminous updos (too messy when you're wearing hair down though IMO)
Bumble & Bumble Thickening Spray
Clinique High-Impact Curling Mascara. It's not necessarily the best mascara volume/length wise (I mean, it's fine, but not astonishingly good), but it is one of the few that doesn't smudge on me (and of those that doesn't smudge, the easiest to remove)
Benefit's black liquid eyeliner. The blackest black I can find
Orly's flash dry nail drops
Stainiac lip stain from The Balm and Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in Demure (although the tube is awful because the top always. comes. off.) - ever since I got these, I don't think I've worn any other lipstick except a few nights when I went back to my old standby, the Lady Gaga lipstick from MAC
Neutrogena oil-free eye makeup remover. I've bought $20 eye makeup removers that were CRAP compared to this. It's just as good as Estee Lauder Bi-Facil IMO

OK you got me. I bought. Are you breaking out? I saw reviews that said it was doing such a good job that people started breaking out from all the yuck it sucked out of their pores.
I use CeraVe body lotion every single day. I use it on my body and face. You can't beat not having to buy a separate facial moisturizer if you're trying to save money.
I've been a long-time user of Lancome Definicils, but this last tube I bought absolutely sucks. It's super wet and clumpy! I have to use a damp spooly brush to feather out the clumps and goo! I'm going to try it one more time. If the next tube isn't back to its normal self, I'll change brands.
I love Laura Mercier's Tinted Moisturizer. If they would fix the damn packaging, I'd give it an A+. Every time I travel with a tube of it (by car or air), it does this:

I broke out for about a week or two (not horribly though), but my skin looks so much better now.
Re: Neutrogena Oil free make up remover, how is it? Liquid? Milky?
I tried a few, my face broke up when I switched to other brands. The brand I used for months & was good for my skin, No.7, discontinued its cleanser (brand in Targe), the same that carries my favourite serum).
