Alrighty, here are updated pics.  I've added the moon, the border across the top, some silver sequins as stars, and some more translucent sequins in the snow.  The border across the top will have my husband's name and will be outlined in a silver thread.  And the back of the stocking will be sewn on in silver thread too, which will be visible all along the border.  I'm including some closeups so you can see the detail.  I'm excited!  I think it's gonna look cute!


I'm still trying to figure out what to put in the heel section of the stocking.  I'm leaning towards a river, but I'm still not 100% sure.  Plus, I need to go buy blue felt to do that.  I included pics of my stocking because I want ours to look similar in detail and style, so they look cute together hung on the mantel. 


Any ideas would definitely be welcome!!!



 


And here are pics of the stocking my grandmother made for me when I was little.  It's AMAZING IRL.  There are closeups too so you can see how amazing it really is.

I love your stocking and your grandmothers is so beautiful, do you hang your grandmothers stocking up? sorry if that is a dumb question its just they are great and hold specail memories iam sure
