I'm soooo excited! I just found out I got into this study abroad program in Sri Lanka that I really really really want to go on! It's called the ISLE Program and I get to go to Sri Lanka for a little over a semester and stay with a family and take classes and then do an independent study project at the end! Anyway, I'm just really really excited!

Not a stupid question. The answer is maybe. Kind of a complicated story. He went on this same program when he was a junior. At the end of the program you do an independent study project and the reason he went back was because he got a Fulbright Fellowship to go back and continue his research on that project. His fellowship is over in July and that's when he was planning on coming back. I was interested in it before I even met him, and my applying really had nothing to do with possibly seeing him because I didn't think he would be there anymore. Now he thinks he might stay and be an assistant on the program next fall because of his connections, something he was thinking about before I told him I was applying. Anyway, we both have made our decisions fairly independently but they happened to coincide.

However, I'm not sure him being an assistant would be a good thing. There are only like 20 kids and I think it'd be weird if I was dating the assistant. And then weird if he was there and I wasn't dating him. And then sad if he could've been there but wasn't. Anyway, I'm not too worried about that as it's a while away and he hasn't decided yet.

So there's my long winded answer!
