Ok I am really frustrated, I dont have a regular hairstylist I go and see, Ive just been hopping around to different places, and have not found anyone that has given me a good haircut, and when I go to these places, i usually get the top hairstylist, just for fear of getting a bad haircut.
Now I need to get my haircut before xmas, and have no clue what to do.. I have tried the top few hairstylists on citysearch, and now I feel like I have nowhere to turn. And I need a good haircut desperately, and Im willing to pay a good amount of money for a cut, but I want it to be worth it!!! Can anyone help me... Im in Pittsburgh?? But any suggestions on what to do would be sooo helpful!

What is wrong with the cuts you are getting? Maybe you need to find a picture to help you get what you want? I've found that paying more doesn't necessarily equal a great hair cut.
Well, as a fellow Pittsburgh-er, I will weigh in....I go to Stephen's Hair Graphics in South Hills Village (there are 2 - one on 19 and on actually in the mall). They are very reasonable and I always find that they do a great job. The girl that I went to last time left, so I can't recommend a name...but I just ask for someone who is young and very good with highlights. I have paid over $300 for cut/highlights in Beverly Hills and HATED it. After this debacle, I ended up having a girl at Stephen's re-do my highlights for me for like $60! I can post some pics of my haircut tonight, if you would like?
are you home already? or are you still in Columbus? I just found some men hairdressers that I am thinking about having do my hair next go round... one is in the Salon Lofts in German Village and the others are at Teez in German Village on Mohawk. Let me know if you need more info!
oh my god...how on earth are there TWO stylish people in pittsburgh? that boggles my brain!!! i spent six years of my life in "da burg" and must have gone the whole time without seeing more than ten stylishly dressed people. would you two gals agree with this statement?
anyway...onto the hair issue. i went to karen's on the south side...at about 11th or so. i saw terri who was totally awesome, i actually make it a point to time my trips back to visit my sister around when i need my hair cut. ive also gone to uh, im forgetting the name right now. dammit. it's in the middle of oakland, right next to where the citizens bank is on fifth, across from where thackeray hall (a pitt building) is. i went there while i was a student with very happy results, it's fun and funky with all young women as sylists. damn, i am totally blanking on the name. anyway...take a trip down to the south side and grab lunch and coffee at tuscany cafe and then wander down to karen, the window is usually decorated with creepy dolls with uh, odd, hairstyles. hope that helps...
oh...just in case this matters...im in mid twenties and have gone from spiky short hair to very short layered hair...always gets cut short. the place in oakland is actually who cut my hair my freshman year at pitt from way down towards my butt to spiky and barely there. it was the greatest cut ever!
