What are your weaknesses - not necessarily specific items, but specific details about items. For example:
- embroidery. I love, love, love it - on shoes, skirts, tops...I am a sucker for beautifully embroidered clothing and accessories
- a-line skirts. I am curvy and love the flare at the bottom of a-lines. I think they flatter my figure tremendously
- frame bags. I love the shape of a frame bag. I guess I like my bags kind of like my a-line skirts - a little flared at the bottom, and narrower at the top *s*
- bold, silver bracelets. I don't like skinny bracelets and love something big and bold on my wrist
- vintage costume jewelry. I like the idea of it having a history and that certain pieces completely indicate the time during which they were made (1940's, etc). I am always stalking items on eBay
-ETA florals. I don't do a lot of stripes (except on pants) or other prints, but I'm a sucker for floral prints.

Rocky, I could have written this myself!
Also, beautiful, flowy, knee-length dresses and skirts, and tops or dresses with ruching detail.
For example, have you girls flipped through the January Marie Claire? -- I gasped when I saw the Alberta Ferretti dress towards the back (in the wear it now/wear it later section.) It is to die for, with its beautiful colors and pintucking details! If only it wasn't so expensive!!
hmm, my weaknesses have changed slightly due to practicality purposes (i only wear jeans to work- making me have to go buy jeans..i can't wear cute shoes..so haven't bought those in a while, though i love them), so i'll stick with design/materials:
*cashmere- i want to buy at least a couple each season- i am SO mad i didn't buy another one at the inhabit sample sale- didn't have time. it was $70 and just a perfect basic black crewneck. also, cute wool sweaters.
*anything southwestern or native american looking- i love when ralph lauren does this- i love prints that are like this:
*navy/blues and greens
*anything british/bookish/equestrian looking
*black/brown together- might be one of my favorite color combos- it looks so rich to me.
I had to really think about this one for a while. I realized I'm sort of all over the map on what I like but these are the things that "get" me...
Army green bottoms: pants, trousers, skirts, lounging pants, whatever. For some reason if army green is an option I'm always drawn to it. I always find myself liking outfits that incorporate army green into the botton part. Like these, for example...
Wraps: Anything that is called a sweater or wrap but is sort of like wearing a blanket. I like ponchos (from last year), wrap sweaters, wraps, scarves, pashminas, etc. Something like this...
Loose fitted tops: I love tops that are loose but still have some tailoring. I think I wore too many tight shirts with black pants in college. Something like this...
Stuff that looks like I would wear it on the English moors. Tweed, wool, riding boots.
Lynnie and Maddie - you girls read my mind! I really liked this stuff a lot last year, but then I lived in England for four months at the beginning of this year, and now I'm obsessed with it. Tweed has to be my biggest weakness. I like riding boots but don't have the legs to wear them (only 5'3"). Rich, wool sweathers. I just go to J.Crews web site and drool, basically.
Other things:
*I'm a total sucker for shoes. I think they've become my favorite article of clothing - they're not as frustrating to try on as clothes and can totally transform the look of an outfit. My two big shoe obsessions right heels (as always) and ballet flats.
*Well-fitting blazers/jackets.
*Scarves. I wear them as part of my outfit several times a week. My favorites right now are two pashmina style ones I got in Italy - one's a fuschia, open-weave, silk and the other's a cashmere/silk green that fades from a pale green to a rich dark green. Each were around $5-8!
*Puffed sleeves. I'm absolutely obsessed with puffed sleeves right now - I have at least four articles of clothing that have them - a jacket, a t-shirt, a sweater, and a track jacket. And I'm always trying on more. I also love feminine details on unexpected articles of clothing, like the track jacket - I love mixing more rugged/sporty things with pretty things.
i go through color stages...every couple of months i change my favorite color and have a hard time buying anything that isn't that color. it's a bit neurotic but we all have our own issues. right now it's purple (plum, lavender, any shade), for a while it was pink, before that green. ive been eyeing navy things though so maybe purple is out.
besides the color issue...
turtlenecks (my bf thinks that im turning into a librarian)
green pants (those outfits that flknight24 posted are right up my alley)
white classic button down shirts (i haven't found the perfect one yet, but that doesn't stop me from buying them)
moccasins, preferably suede and pretty colors
flowy sleeves, i believe the word is dolman or batwing sleeves. im scared to wear them but oh, how i lust after these.

Listed below are the top five fashion things that "get" me:
1. Bold and unique silver rings. My favorite ring was passed down to me and I wear it often when I am wanting to make an otherwise dull or all black outfit stand out. It is a silver flower (the flower is made of up several different layers of thin silver pieces) with a turquoise stone in the middle of it.
2. Hats. I love hats. My favorite ones to wear are newsboy caps- two that I put into rotation are a black canvas one with brass grommets on it and a tan cashmere one. This summer I plan on wearing my straw cowboy hat a lot.
3. Vintage dresses. I am especially bsessed with dresses from the 50's and I own about ten of them. My favorite dress is a white eyelet dress with a tan sheath underneath. It is strapless, slightly below knee length, and there is boning in the chest and waist area that makes me appear more slender. I plan on wearing it at a garden celebration to honor my wedding (when I get married).
4. Fun sneakers. I am a t-shirt and jeans kind of girl, so I think it is important to have funky footwear. My favorite pair of shoes are turquoise and yellow Adidas. They are racing shoes made in honor of Italian drivers and the sole is made out of Goodyear tire. They are now for sale in the U.S., but previously you could only buy them in Europe.
5. Wraps. I do not own a pashmina or other versatile wrap, but I plan on buying a few soon. I am tempted to wait until this summer when I am in the Middle East, as it is cheaper and my purchases would definitely be something special and one of a kind.
