For a while I've had problems with my lenses fogging up and starting to feel weird. It only happened once in a while and occurred more often in my right eye. It started to happen more frequently and so I mentioned it during my eye exam in October. My doctor said there doesn't seem to be anything wrong with my eye but she switched my brand of contacts (I use 2 week disposables and just started using Accvue Advanced after years of using Biomedics). The problem has gotten worse. For the past few days my right eye has been totally fogged up and it feels like I constantly have something in my eye. When I take my lens out it looks cloudy. Drops don't help much nor does cleaning my lens several times a day. I've changed lenses twice in the past week to no avail. I'm pretty sure it's not an infection. I have no redness nor other signs of infection and I wore my glasses all weekend and was totally fine. This morning I put my contacts in and sure enough, after a half hour the problem was back.
I made an appointment to see my eye doctor tomorrow but does anyone have an idea of what the problem could be? I'd like to have some sense of the possibilities before I go in so I can ask her about things because it doesn't seem to be allergies or the brand of lenses, which are the diagnoses she came up with the last time.
I'm pretty good about changing my lenses regularly, especially since this problem started cropping up more often. I've gone through at least 5 pairs since my last appointment which was around October 17th. And I've changed lenses twice in the past week. This is so annoying!
