sometimes an LLBean boat & tote, and someitmes i'm ashamed...  a vera bradley bag.

i would really like another carry on, but there is always something i want more.  so if you guys see some idiot running around the airport with a bright a$$ blue flowery bag...  it's me.

i usually just use my yucky old messenger bag from llbean but i splurged and bought myself a brand new messenger bag from reload bags ($235!!!) and that will be what im going to be using. i totally wish i could post a pic, but it's custom designed so my bag is one of a kind. it's green olive with burgundy trim and bamboo stems/leaves in lighter green and tan. it's the best bag ever. i always check my suitcase and just take the messenger bag on the plane. i get yelled at all the time by my friends for checking even if it's just a weekend trip but i can't stand lugging my bags all over the place in the airport.

Nothing very glamorous, I have my black atlantic which is quite well traveled, but very useful for a small suitcase, and then I have my mother's monagrammed tote from her brief days as a flight attendant in the 70's.  It's about the size of a large tote, so it works well if you're checking bags and don't want to bring a big purse.

Admittedly I am using this poll as a guide to what I ought to use since I always have this problem when I fly.  I usually just use a brown tote bag...not to exciting, I know.  I wonder if I could use my small rolling suitcase as a carry-on?  That would be awesome!

i always carry on my rolling suitcase that is just under the size limit to go onboard.  i guess i should have said "tote" because that's more what i wanted to know--what bag you guys carry to have your book, water, ipod, shawl and whatever else you want to have at your seat on the plane.
