My sister-in-law (brother's wife) went into labor last night! The baby still hasn't made his appearance, but she's doing well. They live on the west coast and I'm on the east, so I can't rush to the hospital, but I could hardly sleep last night.
I just got the word that he's finally born. They named him Mizuki Ronan (my SIL is from Japan) and he's a healthy boy. I am thrilled that he's finally here.
Congratulations on being an aunt. I was wondering if you know what his name means? Usually Japanese name have some sort of significance behind them.( Can you tell that just got done taking a whole semester of Japanese language and culture?)

Thanks, everyone! I am flying out to San Francisco after Christmas, and will meet him then.
Cat, good question! You are right that the name has a meaning. However, I am a bad aunt and forget what it is for the first name. I think it has something to do with light. His middle name means "baby seal" (it's an Irish name).
Lsubatgirl, you have such a good memory! I am touched that you were looking out for this.
