We went to KC for the weekend for a Christmas concert and Christmas shopping at the Plaza.

Steven Curtis Chapman & Mercy Me Christmas concert (was a ton of fun!):

Me and hubby getting ready to take a carriage ride thru the Plaza to see the lights (armed with hot chocolate ):

Me outside the cool elevators at the Hotel Phillips:

My adorable hubby in a phone booth:

Look, a FashionPrincess tree :

Us by the tree (at the left), the tree was huge:

We had a blast!  Thanks for letting me share.

So cute!!  Looks like you and B had a lot of fun.  I had so much fun on the carriage ride in the Plaza.  I went with some friends one year for the Big 12 Championship game and all the girls hopped in the carriage and went for a ride.

Love that coat on you.

On a side note - is that a pink coat you are wearing???  I want a pink coat so bad - where did you find it?

Oooh, I love KC and the Plaza.  We lived in MO, about 45 min. from KC for a little while and I loved going to KC!  Those are great pictures.  Looks like you had a blast!

Hehe, I totally thought about that, but there wasn't anyone to take a picture of both of us and I'm not sure hubby would have done it

shopchicago33: I got that pink coat this last July/August at TJMaxx for like $60.  The brand is Marvin something or another, they sell it at Bloomies.  It is so pretty and has vintage-y looking sparkly buttons, also on the detail on the back.  I also think Overstock and Smartbargins sometimes has this brand, so maybe check there.  HTH!

Waaaaahhhh, those pictures make me SOOOOOOOOOOOOO homesick.  Boy, I miss KC.  Glad you posted so many pretty pictures of the place...it is such a pretty/fun town.

Did you like the Hotel Phillips?  I am so glad they re-did that hotel.  Where was that huge tree?  Zona Rosa?  It doesn't look familiar to me.

...and was that Hot Chocolate from Latte Land?  They have the yummiest hot chocolate.

Finally, did you buy anything at the Anthropologie?  I think the one on the Plaza is one of the best Anthros around, so just wondering if you picked up any goodies.

Hey girl!  Long time no see, how's the new job?

I loved the Hotel Phillips, perfect mix of modern and old.  Yup, that huge tree is in Zona Rosa, had to get my Forever21 fix and we ate at the Hereford House, very yummy!  No, the hot chocolate was from Cheesecake Factory, but I'll have to go to Latte Land next time.  And of course I bought stuff at Anthro, silly   But most of it was presents for others, just an address book and chapstick for myself.

New job is great, just SUPER busy.  Thanks for asking.  I haven't been inside the HP, but I drive by it all the time while in town since my friend owns a loft down the street.

I keep forgetting that KC finally got a Forever21...need to remember to stop by there...to see the tree and pick up some goodies.

You were very good at Anthro...I was not as good last time I was in there!

Next time you go to KC, in addition to Latte Land, check out the Majestic Steakhouse on Grand for a yummy place to eat dinner.
