When I was deciding what to bring on a recent long weekend trip, I realized that my closet seems to have an obsession with stripes this season (it's not me, it's my closet, I swear. ) Striped t-shirts & tanks. Striped cotton dresses. Pinstripe shirts. Even a striped jersey blazer. My pinerest fashion board seems to have caught the same bug as my closet too.
OK, I'll admit it. My name is Boots and I'm a stripe- coholic.
Oh man, I've pretty much been wearing jeans and t-shirts and tanks non-stop. And....I don't want to stop! I was so proud of myself when I busted out of this rut a few years ago and now I'm back.

Wardrobe obsession: t-shirts that will resist belly holes. Not very exciting, I know, but it must be done.
The Gap Tshirts I complained about (the "unfashionable" ones) turned out to be much cuter than I expected. They must have changed the cut since the last time I bought them (thank goodness!). They're very soft, and they should hold up against the stupid holes.
Also, I used the American Apparel store credit to buy some of their Tri-blend t's. Those I know will last forever. They're good looking and soft. Onto the next obsession...
When I read the title of the thread my first thought was stripes. Then I read the first post and realized it was worse than I thought. I have purchased at least three striped dresses this season but already had a few. I have also purchased striped button shirts (a few BB ones), and a seersucker pantsuit. I hadn't even been thinking about vertical stripes until I read the thread.
I have also purchased at least half a dozen dresses lately. I returned one yesterday that I had purchased last weekend and came home with three others - one was striped. I find dresses are particularly easy in summer when tights aren't needed. Many of the ones I have purchased this year will work at least for fall and quite a few into winter with layering so I think they were good choices.
ETA: I realized after I posted that I am also obsessing about silk button shirts with a loose drapy feel. I have purchase three or four of them already and love them with shorts, pants, or suits.

a long red jersey skirt. i wear it at least once a week , despite it being pretty recognizable. it's just so comfortable, easy, covered, and somewhat sensual.

This!
I have one that I wear as a strapless dress (belted) and it gets so so so many compliments.

I bought a colbalt blue pair of cropped skinny trousers from Target in the spring, and I love them! They attract lint and hair like crazy, but I have worn them a lot more than I thought I would. I almost didn't get them in fact.
Got another top in Anthropologie on sale & when I brought it home I realized: I kept buying all the navy color tops & was constantly returning to sailor stripes...
Here's another one. I bought these skirts in April and have worn them each at least once a week since then. I have about 6 other skirts sitting in my closet wondering why I don't even call them anymore...
I am obsessed with the color periwinkle. I think it looks good on me, and it's just a pleasing color. I would love to find a bikini in it for next year.
Kind of a hard color to find unless I'm looking for pyjamas or yoga wear. :-/
