I'm a GIS Technician....In other words, I convert paper map data into digital form. A lot of it is property based (lots, parcels, Right-of-Way's, etc.). Even though I work in it, I really can't explain it much beyond that, lol
OMIGOSH CarrieS... me too hahah and I thought I was the only GIS geek here!

Currently I'm a student, but next September I'll be starting with an accounting firm; either Deloitte or another smaller firm depending on whether they offer me a job.
I am a medical technologist in a blood bank. My main job is typing and crossmatching blood for patients. I just started a few months ago but I really like it so far.
I also just started as a barista for extra money. Not too excited about that because I feel like that would have been somethng I would have done in high school or college, but I do love coffee and a job is a job, right? Either way, I am going to give it my best and go in with a positive attitude.
I am an assistant in a fundaraising office at a University. I'll be looking for a new job after January though- I'll have completed my MA by then. I'll probably look for a fundraising job with a non-profit.
I am a Product Manager for a Software reseller in PA. My position is funded by Computer Associates. Basically, I educate and train the sales reps at my company and I also get involved in the big transactions.. doing Sales-support activities. Also a little marketing thrown in.
Right now I'm still in law school, but I'll graduate next May. After that, I'll be clerking for a federal judge for a year and then start looking for another job (which is always fun, right? ).
i work as a hair stylist. i have a month left at my current job (sweet!)...and i'm not quite sure what my plans are after the baby yet. (plans are being a SAHM for now, but i would like to work at a salon 1-2 days per week after six months or so)
As of tomorrow, I will be a Marketing Coordinator, which means, I will be doing event planning, promotional writing, graphic design, ad campaigns for both the company and our clients and any other related marketing work. Yay!
I also write for a few websites and, now that I'll have a good paying job and only a 20 minute commute, I'll have more time and money to work on that jewelry design thing that's been on haitus since about June.
