does any of you girls post on thefashionspot forum? I went to take a look, but it feels intimidating to me. I feel like all those guys/girls are much more "avant-garde" then me. I feel much more confortable posting here (even though I never osted a pic ).
what I like there is to read posts from people all over the world
I love that forum! Although I admit I am mostly a lurker. The fashion there is more for appreciation of design than for my wardrobe. Everyone seems to talk about collections but few can actually afford them (including me). It is still inspiring however, and they have great articles about the industry.
oh, I agree about the inspiration factor. Some of the girls there put together outfits that I could not think in 1000 years, and yet they can pull them off! I envy that kind of creativity! Besides, even though there is so much discussion about designers, many of the utfits are composed of thrift finds/cheap stuff.
I just checked it out for the first time. It's not really a crowd that I feel comfortable in. I was looking in a post about designer bags, and one girls has over 20 Louis Vuittons!! Another girl who is a freshman in high school claims she has a pathetic handbag collection (at least 10 designer bags), but she is getting a Prada and Chanel for Christmas.
Sure, I dream of having that kind of money, but I don't want 20 bags from one designer! I think the girls on this forum are more down-to-earth, people who I can listen to, and ask question and not feel bad about myself for questioning a $40 pair of shoes.

i lurk over there and post rarely. i find it's a great resource to get info on things fashion industry related, but the community is so board that it's hard to identify with the average poster.
I only post on there when i'm disagreeing with somebody! lol Otherwise I wouldnt ask them anything some people are too moody in there or are too against regular mall stores.
I agree with your thoughts I felt a little out of place there. I have not visited in a while but I am registered and have participated in the forums. I must say they were very helpful when I wanted some opinions on my humble selections.
Anyway the forum makes me feel normal, I'm not that fashion obsessed.
I post on thefashionspot.com, if you mean the threadstyle-esque threads, I don't think any of us should be ashamed to be posting in them, we are all equally if not moreso stylish!
