What was your first concert, and how old were you? Not one at your local school or anything, but a "real" band/artist.
Mine was....drumroll please....Milli Vanilli, if you want to call that concert real (due to the whole them-not-actually-singing scandal). I can't exactly remember what grade I was in, but probably 4th grade.

I came, I saw, I did a little shopping.
I saw Paula Abdul w/ Color Me Bad when I was 10 years old. Hahaha. My second was Beastie Boys when I was 16. They are awesome, and I have seen them twice more.
Oh gosh - when I was little i got to see....Alabama! But the first concert I decided to go to on my own was my sophomore year of high school - George Michael.

i went to the first-ever KROQ Weenie Roast (it's an all-day multi-band concert that an LA radio station puts on every year). they always have really great bands and a festival-ish atmosphere. i think i was 14 or 15.
Neil Diamond, with my parents when I was in third grade. The first concert I really wanted to go to was Duran Duran in seventh grade. I was so in love.
In middle school I saw my idol at the time, Janet Jackson, Rythmn(sp?) Nation Tour. After that I've seen every one of her tours and she's an awesome entertainer.
i saw janet jackson in seventh grade. my friend and i got tickets for christmas and we were beyond excited- we went with our moms. it was the janet tour. "if" was my absolute favorite song in seventh grade. i thought i had died and gone to heaven at that concert.
Oh boy, I am SO dating myself with this, but...Foreigner, when I was 13. It was the Foreigner 4 tour...not that most of you ladies would even know the band. It was a good concert, nonetheless. *s*

Oh God, Dwight Yoakum when I was 11!! My mom's office manager's husband is a dj at a local country station, and he decided I needed to go see Dwight for my birthday :)
I've never been to a "real" concert with famous people. I've only been to local punk rock shows. My ex used to be a drummer in a local punk band so I would go watch his and other bands. Not very exciting, I know. I have been to the SF opera though, does that count?
