Face moisturizers with sunscreen

A couple weeks ago I started using L'Oreal Age Code with SPF 30. I really like it - it sinks in easily and it doesn't irritate my skin at all. But FWIW, before this I used (and loved) Neutrogena, and Clinique both irritated my skin and felt flaky/non-sinking-in to me. So our skin might like different things.

I've started doing a series of chemical facial peels which leaves my skin dryer (the weather is not helping either) and very vulnerable to the sun.  I need to step up my sun block routine.  I bought some Neutrogena Healthy Skin 50 SPF moisturizer, but I think that it's not reacting well with my skin.  I noticed that after I put on my make up, my chin or cheekbones have a weird white flaky look (like the skin is cracking with a white film over it.)  I don't think that the sunscreen is sinking in.  I used a sample of a Clinque moisturizer yesterday and didn't have that issue, so I'm pretty sure it was the Neutrogena moisturizer.  THe Clinque only had a SPF of 15 though so it's not a daily option.

So does anyone have recommendation for a good hydrating moisturizer with a high sun block?  Preferably from some place like Target or Ulta, but if you know of a more expensive one that really works, I'm open to spending a bit more if I have to.

Clinique makes a facial moisturizing sunscreen that has a very high SPF. I haven't used the face version, but I regularly use the body one. The body one is more of a moisturizer than a traditional sunblock. It has a finer consistency. I imagine the same goes for the face version.

Take a look at Sun SPF 50 Face Cream and Sun SPF 30 Face Cream. I think the 30 would be plenty and would be less annoying on the skin.

Here's their Sun products page.

I've tried City Block in the past, but I don't think it is moisturizing at all. For some reason, people love it though.

I used Clinique Super Defense with SPF 25. My derm told me that I have to switch to 30, that 25 isn't good enough. And, I am trying to use more natural and organic products. So, once this is gone, I won't be replacing it. But, for what it is worth, I really like it! I tried some higher SPF face creams a year or so ago, and hated all of them, so please let me know which one you decide upon once you find one you like. SPF moisturizers are tricky!

Thank you, everyone! I've been seeing the brand CeraVe pop up every where as I research this problem. I may give this one a try. They have a 30 SPF lotion. In the mean time I'm using up the last of my Clinque deluxe sample.

Kelly, I know exactly what you mean about everyone's skin reacting differently to products. Sometimes Clinque works on me, and some of their products break me out horribly (Aveeno was the worst product I ever tried on my skin, but my SIL loves their line.) I haven't tried anything from L'Oreal yet. I use Neutrogena for almost everything on my face, which is why I was so surprised that the 50 SPF moisturizer I bought did a number on my skin. I was previously using their tone correcting lotion with 30 SPF, but since I started using peels on my face, I though maybe it would be better to try something gentler with a greater sun blocking ability. Apparently not. If the CeraVe doesn't work out for me, I'll have to go back to the Neutrogena tone correcting lotion I suppose.

Well, if CeraVe's face SPF is half as good as their regular body lotion and cream, you should be very good to go. That stuff is awesome! I use the body lotion every day. It is also my facial moisturizer.

I'm ording off Amazon today so I'll let you know.  I had never even heard of this line before I started researching a new moisturizer.
