What's Your Favorite Girl Scout Cookie?
Permalink Closed

The only reason I'm even thinking of Girl Scout Cookies is because I ordered some from a guy at work and they came in today.

My favorites are Thin mints, but only because Samoas are too fattening!

What are your favorites?

Thin mints!  I can't even buy them because I'll eat the whole box right away.

Peanut Butter Patties (aka Tagalongs).

Also Lemon Pastry Cremes.  And Caramel Delites (Samoas).  And Thin Mints.

Heck, I love 'em all.

These are the three flavors I bought today! I can't wait to try the Lemon Pastry ones because I've never had them before. Can you tell I like to eat junk food?

Thin Mint definitely.  Doesn't Breyer's or Dreyer's ice cream do a special edition Thin Mint sometimes?  I think my MIL has bought it before

Mmm I work at Girl Scout camp in the summer and we have pretty much unlimited free stashes of these! My favorite are Samoas, Tagalongs, and Thin Mints.

I used to be a Girl Scout and sell them. I miss buying tons of boxes for myself.

  1. Samoas (they are soooo bad for you but I can't stop!)

  2. Thin Mints

  3. Tagalongs

OMG the Edy's/Dreyers Girl Scout Ice Cream...I could die and go to heaven after eating some of that stuff....mmmmmmmmmmmmm

What;s with these names-samoas? Tagalog? Are these new names? When I sold the cookies they were carmel delights, thin mints, peanutbutter something...the lemon kind etc. Am I getting old?

You and me both.  I definitely don't remember these names.

Well, evidently, there are a couple of different companies who make the cookies and some come from the tagalong camp and others from the peanut butter patty band.  It was a huge deal among my friends in college.  Funny how people are so passionate about their girl scout cookie names. . .

There are two different bakeries and each council chooses which one they want to use. The cookies are slightly different. I think one thin mint is a circle, while the other has scallopped edges.
