sometimes people don't want to go to counseling because they are afraid that their own faults will have to be owned up to.  this is totally understandable, but I think it is a great sign that your fiance suggested counseling.  don't count it out.


meanwhile, don't worry that anybody would call you out Dr. Phil style, most marriage and family counselors are there to listen and provide some guidance, but they are not going to point out your faults.

This happened to Gary and I while we were engaged. I think it may happen to everyone. We fought constantly and over some of the most stupid things. Eventually we realized that we are not arguiing about what is really bothering us. Once we addressed those issues, we were able to move forward.


Counseling is a great idea.
