My new vanity

I went out of town this weekend & came home to a new vanity - my husband found the "desk" & chair at a garage sale for $25 & went out HIMSELF & bought a mirror. I though it was the sweetest thing ever & surprisingly I really like it. I already had the zebra rug & realize it's kinda much - I'm going to find something else, but I have a safari themed room so it was fine before the leopard chair appeared. Please excuse the cat toy & the fact that i have no moulding - we are redecorating in there & aren't done yet....


ETA: Lighting suggestions? I need a tall lamp on the right side in that corner I am thinking - I have no light there but it is a good spot for it if I can figure it out. I have seriously considered doing a lamp like this, but made out of all gold beads. I have a lamp & the beads & could probably have it done by tomorrow - I don't know why I keep procrastinating it because I really do think it's cool...

Omigod...only $25???  I think I need to hit up garage sales where you live!  That is a gorgeous set!  And the chair is so fun! 


Your lamp idea sounds great also...

Wow!  What a good husband, and a good shopper!  Only $25 is incredible.  That desk looks like it's worth hundreds!  As for lighting and a rug, I'd say take a look at Lowe's and let the right one draw you in!

Thanks ladies. He really is a sweetie. Sometimes i need to be reminded because I start taking it for granted! But when we met I heard a perfect quote that fit - "I don't deserve him, but neither do any you bitches so he's mine"!! I thought that was SOOO funny. But I really do deserve it because my ex is such an ass......

But the drawers are deep so i'm trying to figure out what to put in them as dividers....we'll see.
