I'm thinking about ordering some of the products. Where should I purchase from? What should I start with? Are all the products in a loose powder form? I'm curious, but a little leery. Seems messy and difficult.
if you have a sephora nearby, go there first. i ordered their light complexion kit and am pretty happy with it, even now that my tan is gone. since winter is coming up (which always dries my skin out) i've moved back to liquid foundation. the powder has great coverage, but makes my dry spots more noticible, imo.
i never had problems with it being too messy, but i did notice a film of powder on my sink several times. play with it a bit first, either at sephora or if a friend has some. see if you like it. i am pretty happy with the product, but with combination skin, its a mixed blessing: perfect for the humid summers, frightful in the dry winters.
ps- their colors are great, i love my eyeliner and shadows!

Sephora would be good. Otherwise bareescentuals.com has a good kit too. It's not really messy...I suppose it's all about how careful you are. I have normal to combination skin and have actually found since using BE my skin is less dry in the winter. It's good stuff, give it a try.
I'm thinking about getting the kit too - how did you guys choose what color to get? The kit in my cart right now is the Medium Beige/Medium, but I think I'm actually in between the 'light' and 'medium' tones and might do better with a Light/Medium Beige combo, but they don't sell that in a kit!
Does it matter that it match your skin tone perfectly, or is there a little more leeway than you'd have with a liquid foundation?
Can you use liquid concealer/foundation with the Bare Minerals products?

If you're in between shades, I would go for the light kit. I just got my kit on Sunday as a gift from FH and the light is even a little too dark for me. I wasn't sure which to get b/c I thought I might be medium, but the light is just perfect if you mix the two light shades together. It may be different for everyone, but this is what I've found.

LMonet, call customer service to order your kit (888) 795-4747. Ask them if you can get the two different colors you want. I e-mailed BE customer service because the kits didn't show fair. I was told if I order on the phone I can get fair and fairly light (which is not a kit that is listed). Worth a try.
