Hi, I'm studying in Glasgow (Scotland) next semester and was wondering what kind of clothing to take? I'll do a search on google of the weather, but I don't want to look too American. I'm sure I won't blend in, but I don't want to look like a tourist either. Suggestions?

I've lived in England for 2 years, and I really enjoyed the fashion there.
For the most part British people are very trendy - and you will probably end up doing a ton of shopping while you live there. I wouldn't worry too much about not blending in, I think you'll probably avoid looking like a clueless tourist very easily!
One thing that looks touristy is a big North Face down or rain jacket. I suggest a nice wool coat for the winter - and always keep an umbrella on you at all times, even if it looks sunny.
Here are some shops in the UK, I also shopped at H&M quite a bit while I lived there as well:
H&M is an excellent suggestion. The clothing lines carried by the American and European stores are pretty much the same. I was in Glasgow last year end fall/beginning winter, and one thing you have to remember it it's FREEZING. Remember a warm coat, warm scarf, gloves, hat. Some really toasty boots for walking around. And the umbrella is a good idea.
Oh, you're going to love Glasgow. I totally fell in love when I was there. And it's not too fra from Edinborough, and that's a marvelous place as well. I'm so jealous! Please take a tour of Highlands for me. I didn't get a chance when I was there. And Stirling Castle is definitely worth seeing!
