I was looking for a new ring tone last night because I wanted something different than I have and it got me to thinking what every one else has on their phone.


Right now, mine is Guns N Roses Sweet Child o Mine.

  • Summer of '69 (Bryan Adams)--family
  • With or Without You (U2) --VIP
  • California (Phantom Planet)--Friends
  • Toxic (Britney Spears)--Work

regular old ring.


if I did get a ringtone it would be somehing like Green Eyed Lady by Sugarloaf from the 70's (or was it 80's) but I don't think that's available.


I love Nylabelle's California by Phantom Planet, I loved that song long before the OC came on.

I never found the perfect song for a ringtone, so I use one that came with my phone. It rings twice, says "hello Moto" and then rings all crazy-like after that. I use it for everyone.

I am obsessive-compulsive with ring tones.  Some people that call a lot have their own, I have several different categories, and a different ring for unrecognized phone number vs. number restricted.


My best friend's song is Scotty Doesn't Know from Eurotrip.


What You Waiting For by No Doubt for another friend.


Dammit by Blink 182 for another friend.


Get Low by Lil Jon for another friend.


Aloha Oe for my brother (he used to go to school in Hawaii)


I have a weird rainforest sound for the people in my phone I wouldn't expect to actually call anymore (I have been transferring over numbers for years now without erasing).  It is always kind of exciting when I hear this ring.


Beethoven's Fifth (came with the phone) for people I don't like.


The rest are just tones that came with my phone.  I think I use all of them.

that is hilarious- rainforest sounds for people you dont expect to call.  I think my friend has this ringtone too- everytime i hear it i think wtf is that?  I wish i had it on my phone.

my fam- the actual ringer, so i realize it's them/don't answer at bad times (i.e., at a party..)


best friends from home- 90210 theme song!


best guy friend- fraggle rock music- he picked it on a very long, slap happy car ride


college guy friends- blackbird by the beatles


every one else has one that came with my phone, text messages are the dream sequence..


no voices though, all are instrumental. i keep meaning to download more for my roommates, etc. but never get around to it..
