Hi everyone...I'm baaaaack!!! A lot has happened since I was last on here. For starters I'm retired. Which is strange considering I am only 37 years old. It was a disability retirement though. My oldest son decided to move out and pay rent to my sister instead of me. He is completely breaking my heart in the choices that he is making. I must let him grow up and make his own mistakes. Financially things are still tough but bearable. We should be ok. Shopping is going to pretty much be non existant but I have nothing to really shop for since I'm not working and staying home every day. As far as my health goes I'm not quite yet stable but am working towards that with my doctors. I started working out and my doctor said he would see what he could do with my meds to help with weight loss. I hope everyone on here is well. Thanks to everyone for your support this past year...what a great community this is!
So glad to hear from you here on the forum! I know it's been a rough go for you...and I'm thrilled that you are ready to reach out again! So sorry to read about your son...you were so excited when he came home again. Perhaps this is just another step for him...and will allow for an even better relationship between the two of you. I'll call you soon!
So great to have you back here! Please keep participating. We don't care if you can shop, we just want to have you around.
Also, I think it's great that you're starting an exercise program. To me, exercise is such a great stress reliever that any sort of weight management is just icing on the cake (bad metaphor, I know.) I've finally gotten my 2 SILs to start their own program and I can already see how much happier they are.
So glad to see you back! You definitely sound like you are in a much better place and I am happy to hear that. Being a parent, I can just imagine how you must feel right now concerning your son,but have faith things will eventually turn around for the better. When I was in my late teens I was estranged from my parents and it was tough few years but many years later and after much healing we have a wonderful relationship. It can happen for you too. I agree with Boots regarding starting an exercise routine, it's a great mood booster and best of all it's free! :).
