I ordered my brown leather bench/coffee table from overstock.com to be shipped to my new house which is clearly marked since the mail box in front of the driveway has our address on it and you can see the house from the street. It was suppose to be delivered tuesday. I waited and waited and it never came. I look track the shipping on the internet and it said it was delivered to 20167 instead of 20169. What the hell? I don't know my neighbors yet and will not be knocking on their doors just in case they are freaky people who have torture chambers! Who knows, maybe they are dishonest people enjoying their new piece of furniture. So next day I call DHL and make them send somebody out to retrieve it wherever they dumped the thing (which might have been gotten rained on) and make them send it to MY house. Why in the hell could they not send it to my house in the first place. Lazy asses caused me stress!
It would have been a good way to introduce yourself to your neighbors. "Hi, I just moved in next door and DHL mistakenly delivered a package to your address. Did you receive it?" I find it's best not to assume your neighbors are the type to have "torture chambers" without meeting them first.
Wow ... While I don't much care for DHL either, your rant is a little off-base. How did they get the wrong address in the first place? They don't type in the specific address of every piece of mail they deliver after it's already delivered. If it said that address online, then that's the address they were given by Overstock, or perhaps that the address YOU gave Overstock. Second, get up off you a** and walk across the street and get your package, if you want it so bad. I can't believe they even came back to walk it acroos the street to you. . Do you live like, on a farm or something, where "across the street" is like a mile down the road? Talk about lazy.

Rarr, I guess this isn't the right forum if it's just going to indulge those who don't need any more indulging. My post was by no means an "attack". I was just speaking the truth and offering an alternative to where she was basing her anger. I'm sorry if you don't see it that way.
Hmm....just visiting toasts & roasts section again and saw some comments. No it wasn't across the street. I didn't even see the address they said it was delivered to on any of the houses. Now some people might be amazed how many convicted sex offenders actually live in your own neighborhood. This is a good reason not to knock on someones door if you don't know who lives there. You can access the data bases in your own state. And not all convicted offenders are listed, just level 2 or 3. Plus imagine the ones who haven't been caught yet, or have yet to commit a crime. Just checked and there are 12 within 15 miles of me. Just trying to be safe.
